Jen08 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I never thought trying to find a remote control robot would be so hard. My DS(4) is asking for a robot for christmas. He wants it to be remote control as well. I have looked on amazon and found a Mr. Robot for $25 but when I looked at a video of it on youtube, it didn't look real impressive. I am trying to find one that isn't going to cost more than $30 (including shipping). This is for a 4 year old, after all and it may not last but just a few months. LOL! I can't find one on walmart, target, TRU website that is reasonable enough in price. Any help would be appreciated on where I could find one. Bless his heart, all he has asked for christmas is a robot and a DS lite so he'll def. be getting both of them, plus other things as well, but I want to get atleast the 2 main things he has asked for.
mrn8 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Finding something like that for less than $30 that does more than walk / roll and make a few sounds will be difficult. Here's what I was able to find: http://www.hobbytron.com/SilverlitJabber-BotElectricMiniRobot.html
Kibit13 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Would he like the Alfie robot? It doesn't have a remote control, but it looks pretty cool and has good reviews. http://www.amazon.com/Playskool-39350-Alphie/dp/B003CRJU36/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1321396457&sr=8-2 http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/Files_Main/37D587DA19B9F36910960AA87BB9F427.jpg
jakesmommy403 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 What about a Zibit or 2? They make a few different ones, and they are adorable little robots with remote controls. They spin and roll forward and back. And they're $10 each! http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12167510&camp=PPC:Google Here's a demo video: http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/16/zibits-mini-remote-control-robots-spin-right-round-baby/
