ddelp Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Does anyone know what type of sales American Eagle has on Black Friday? Also, Old Navy? I just started shopping there for my 13 year old daughter and their clothes are so expensive!!!!
simonalex Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 old Navy does have some specials on BF, like some sweaters and i think they give out some fleece blanket for $5 with any purchase. They also ahve soemething like - u get 20% off all items that u can stuff in a bag. DO not know anthing about AE. SImonalex
ddelp Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 I forgot about the Old Navy coupons. They also have really good sales throughout the year. I think their clothes are reasonably priced all year. American Eagle is the one that I find very expensive.
laffnatu Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Goody's is also another good for teen clothes. My daughter found 2 pair of jeans there for around $35...not too shabby especially since I didnt have to go to American Eagle and get them. American Eagle is expensive and I don't think I have ever seen a coupon for them unless you purchase so much and get so much off the next purchase of $50. And $50 there is pretty much a pair of jeans. I think Old Navy is reasonable. I bought a ton of stuff for my son there and paid $2.97 for shirts, $12 for jeans and hoodies were $6.97. That was mostly stuff on clearance. But it still isnt bad when full price. Good luck!
love2beurwifey Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I love Old Navy especially the Old Navy outlet in my area both stores are really reasonable
pmdemey Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Ours just opened about a month ago and I can`t wait!!!!
Maranda Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 AE recently started a program called the "All-Access Pass" in which you earn rewards and rebates for shopping there. It's something like when you use a credit card w/the pass you get 10% off the purchase and when you use an AW credit card with the pass you get like 30%. That's really all I know. Fell in love with a sweater there, had to have it. That store is NOT made for us "Real" women.
wright1baby Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I just got a "$20 off $100 or more" card from Old Navy good until December 24. I am not sure if it's because I registered on their website or because I have an ON card?
ebony0421 Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I really like both of these stores, but American Eagle is soooooooo expensive. Hopefully, they will have a few GREAT deals coming up soon.
ajburlingame Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I look forward to hopefully getting some great bargains at Old Navy.

I have 2 teenage dtrs who love getting clothes from there. So, this should help some on saving money by shopping there.

bayhaysay Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 I love old navy, ours always has really good sales especially if you buy off season. I just got my daughter 4 t-shirts for $2.97 each.

couponmamaoftwins Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 That store is NOT made for us "Real" women. Yep! I know what you mean.
illusion Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Wow keep your daughters away from abercrombie & fitch. Thats where i shop and my jeans cost around 70 - 80.
treasure60 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Wow keep your daughters away from abercrombie & fitch. Thats where i shop and my jeans cost around 70 - 80.That is on my girls Christmas list...lol And one of them wants stuff from Hot Topic....that is expensive also.
freesia39 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 hot topic isn't as bad as A&F. a&f is now just overpriced crap. before they used to have decent clothes, and now it's for all anorexic teenagers who don't mind if the entire world can see what's under their shirt! (which is all a plot to make you buy a second shirt to put under the first shirt!) at the outlet mall, they had an actual A&F outlet, so everything was semi normally priced (their jeans were down to 30 bucks) but they were ripped, or faded funny, and other styles i just don't appreciate or cannot wear - even in my casual office setting.
illusion Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 now it's for all anorexic teenagersHaha im a fat kid that wears it But i do agree it is overpriced.
simonalex Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Last week their was a news that A&F had to withdraw some t-shirts from the market because they had some sesnsitive comments on it. Why did hthey put it out in the first place? hate stuff like that. Simonalex
tootsieroll23 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Thank goodness DD can still wear hoodies and shirts from the kids Abercrombie. Hoodies typically run $20 less than at Abercrombie & Fitch. Right now the only stores she likes is Hollister, A&F and AE. I think American Eagle is getting a bad as A&F. I still find Hollister to be pretty reasonable on some things. We actually went shopping today at A&F and Hollister and got a couple of hoodies and polos. I would say how much it was at each, but never know when DH could be lurking here

Even my daughter agreed to get outta that store. She knew there was no chance.
heavenlysshine Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I shop Old Navy twice a week. You never know what you're gonna find clearanced! And a lot of times things are cheaper than on the clearance tag. Their regular prices are not much more than a mega discount store, either. ~H~
