I am Canadian and last year I was attending a wedding in Rochester and could not belive the price of turkey. Here were lucky to get it on sale for 1.99/lb and last year I saw adds for like 14c/lb. So I am on the lookout for the prices, let me know when they start going on sale...Looking in the Michigan/NY/Buffalo area....Thanks Muchly:D

well i usually get our turkey at aldis.9.99 and it is i'd say between 9- 11 pounds.it is butterball.mostly the kids eat it anyway so i figure for 10.00 bucks it's worth it

I usually get our's when they go on sale for about .29 per pound. I never pay very much for it. I get a pretty good sized one because everyone here is happy to get it since Thanksgiving is the only time I cook it.

mine was free.. It has been sitting in my freezer for awhile.. It is one of those smoked precooked turkeys.... I hope I don't burn it cause this is my first year cooking a turkey..

I was looking at frozen turkey breasts at Meijer the other day and nearly went into shock! Didn't notice the per lb. price but the total price on the cheapest one was over $28.00!! I then went over to look at the whole turkeys and couldn't believe the difference - a whole frozen young turkey was under $20! :eek:

I think I will have enough points at one of our grocery stores to get a free turkey this year, too. Usually I buy all of my groceries at WM, but I have been buying some at the grocery store so I hope I have enough points.
