snakeswiff
I have 2 cats, one of which likes to "relieve" himself on the tree skirt....so I got rid of it. (the skirt, not the cat, although I am regretting that choice!lol) Anyway...the point here...I got my Boxer last year, and to keep him and the cats away from the tree I picked up(pasted from petco website) Lambert Kay Boundary Indoor/Outdoor Dog & Cat Repellents A training aid for your pet. Will repel dogs and cats for up to 24 hours when applied daily. Keeps pets away from furniture, carpet, trees, shrubs, garbage cans and bags, and other forbidden areas. In pump spray and aerosol. It worked like a charm....you just have to remember to spray everyday!

elena_398
Fortunately my dog is 4 now and doesn't go near it. Though she loves the candy canes so those stay in the middle of the tree and up

nol1305
We have two cats that like to climb my tree. We came home one night to find one perched half way up the tree with her nose sticking out and the other just under her. We laughed and took pictures. Now for a few days after I put the tree up, we leave a spray bottle with water that we aim in their direction when they look too interested in the tree. However, that only works when we're home - who knows what they do when we're gone!
elena_398
I love though seeing Americas Funniest Pets and how cats go up the trees and peek out. I get a kick out of that.

Guest all2tired
Don't know, this is my first year with my dog. Don't know what is going to happen and I'm afraid to find out.
meow62
Our tree has been relocated to the dining room for a number of years. We had to do this after coming home one afternoon and finding the tree on its side with a set of lights chewed. Cats will be cats! As you can imagine, that sight didn't really enhance the Christmas spirit! Denise
elena_398
My cousin has 4 cats and 5 trees. I swear every year they each pick one to mess with . She gets mad, but I find it too funny. Especially when I go over there and see a cat peeking out. LOL

Daydreamer228
Three dogs and one cat aren't the problem when it comes to the Christmas tree. The problem is my 3-year-old granddaughter. And the 2-year-old granddaughter who has to copy her big sister.

Booterbunz
Booterbunz, I could substitute my Sassy and Claudia in those pictures! That was hilarious! Yeah, growing up I used to have a cat that was tiger striped and very dainty. Each year, she would climb up the tree, while we were all in the same room and never knew it and when you'd walk by the tree to use the restroom, she would bat at you! LOL She always reminded me of a gremlin in the tree!! LOL But yeah, I saw that site last year and book marked it, it's great!!!!
