browneyedtexan Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I am looking for a 60GB IPOD for my son for Christmas. The price I have seen so far is $399. Has anyone seen one like this for a better price anywhere??:2
civicracinggirl7 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 You can try checking for a refurbished one, or use a coupon code to bring the price down. That's probably the best "deal" you can find.

mrn8 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Any other good deals for iPods? BTW, thx alot Jean Once Target gets them, they will probably still have a 10% off coupon that will save you $40 off of the 60GB Ipod w/Video.
PPanda65 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I ordered my son's from Apple for Education. I bought the 30 GB model. Paid $269. Saved $30. They do charge tax.
freesia39 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 that's where i'm getting my ipod, through the BF.
buckwheat_jegc Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 If you go to the apple store online and put your items in a cart and save the cart, after about two days, they'll contact you via email with a coupon code for $30 off your order. If you have any family/friends who teach, you can get them to purchase your items through their educational discount on-line and save an additional 15-20% off your items. I just ordered my two sons iPods (60 gig and larger shuffle) with personalization and cradles and cases for each and I owe my sister only $510 total.

Guest Kid Red Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Yea, other then a coupon from Apple, you won't really ever find a deal on Apple products. They price protect and sell to wholesellers so high that they are left with only dollars profit per item. So that $99 iPod cost the store probably $95 and Apple won't let then sell below a certain point. It may be hard to get a good price, but mac computers keep their value for years and years because of it.
