We get our turkey from a turkey farm. We have the usual squash, corn on the cob, raisin carrot salad, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes w/ turkey gravy, rolls and lots of desserts.

Could you explain to me what "squash" and "corn on the cob" are? We don't have them down here, I got kinda curious...

Usually lasagna. I've done that for years. I've recently converted my mother. She makes lasagna for Christmas now too. It leaves a lot more time for socializing and watching the kids play with their presents.

Caesar salad, garlic bread (the frozen kind that is on Texas Toast), Green Beans and Pumpkin and Apple Pies and once or twice chocolate cake. Basically the only things I make from "scratch" are the salad and the lasagna, and I use the no boil method for the lasagna LOL I love the pies from Sam's. they are big and YUMMY and I couldn't make them taste any better!!

It makes it easier to spend time with the family and enjoy the day rather than be stressed over the cooking. I buy the turkey and the ham around that time and leave them frozen for later, but I don't go all out when I make them because it's just another day and another meal (or 3 depending on the size of the turkey).
