hlee_good Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I'm new for this event.. My friend went to CC for BF deal around 1 AM. Everyone want to share when they went to the store. :)
Gporter34 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Usually sale at WM starts at 6am and we are in there by 3am. But this year we will be online shopping at midnight, eating at Denny's by 1am, and hopefully in there no later than 2am. They have alot more this year so I expect them to get crowded earlier besides the new sale hours.
bayhaysay Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 In years past we have been standing beside the pallets @ WM at least an hour before the sale starts. I don't know about this year yet, we'll have to wait fo rmore ads to come out to finalize the plan.
best4less Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Usually an hour before the sale starts. It only takes like 15 to 20 mins for me to get to any of the major stores. That said, I've never gone to Best Buy first on BF. If that was my plan, I would probably camp out because that is the place that seems the most crowded.
ryka Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 We noramally wake up at 4 and out of the house by 5 but since Wm opened this year by us we will have to be out of the house by 3:30
Guest Deals4Me Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 We leave no later than 2...and I am 1st or 2nd in line...I take pride in that... any later than 2:30 and about 50-60 back...
mommyz Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 We leave home about 5:30am get to Walmart at 5:45am!!!
JazzMama Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Last year KB Toys was my first stop and I was in line by 4:35. This year, it depends on when I leave (I have to figure out my strategy/important stores first )
cactusmom Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 I usually try to be at Best Buy by 2:00 AM. I may go even earlier this year because, what the heck I am awake anyways :)
mehul123 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 i live in the south jersey so wait time only one hour
all4linkae Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I left the house at about 4:30am last year. This year Im doing things a little different so I will probably leave around 3-4am or so.
Jenniferharrison82 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I am usually at walmart by 3:30 or 4:00, this year midnight for the laptop.
pcsoon Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Try to leave the house at 2:30 but ends up being 2:45 or later. Speed to the store to make up for lost time. Rush from the car to the store as soon as I'm parked. Then stand in the freezing cold trying to stay warm for 2-3 hrs. I love it! :)
heavenlysshine Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I'm still waiting for the other store ads to finalize my plan of attack. ~H~
lorelei Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Usually 30-45 minutes before store opening. My shopping partner in crime doesn't have much patience for standing in line. From personal experience, the line to get in the best buy in my town is quick. It's the checkout lines that are painfully slow.
BruschiFan Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Lorelei: my partner is the same way! He just doesn't get that excited. This yr, I've been talking about it so much that I will get him out earlier, he is finally coming around. Last yr, didn't get to the mall til 545, got in a long a** line at target, but got in and out with a million dvd box sets within ten min. Walked over to best buy where the line of 300 was gone, but had to wait an hour in line. However, when I went to target again around 12, they had fully stocked their shelves and there was no one around, so be sure to check certain stores for that. This years goal: 3 am- now that I've found this site, I see all of my competition and I must be ya'll! JK, good luck everyone!
elena_398 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Im in line by 2am. I leave the house around 1:30am then sit in the van till someone arrives.
lauralee Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Last year around 3:30 am, was first at Kmart. This year, if Walmart is my first stop, I plan to be there by 2:00 am, the lines are very long and rambunctious at my Walmart on BF.
elena_398 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I live in an area of major die hard BF shoppers. If you want to be the first 10 or so in line you have to be there by 2am or earlier
TheDude Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 About 1am and I'll wait in the car until someone shows up.
elena_398 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I do the same thing. I get there super early and wait till someone shows up. I hate it when they do as then I have to jump out to wait in line
couponmamaoftwins Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I like to get there a couple of hours before the sales start to try and find where the items are that I want.
TheDude Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 It's times like these you actually wish you have a camper/RV:D
elena_398 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 LOL.. Especially when its super cold and the wind picks up. Unfortunately, there is no over hang at the stores I go to to hide from the elements
alimfp Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I show up at the first store about 1.5 hours early, depending on what they have that I want/need. :)
ghort Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 We normally leave about 4 am for Best Buy, end up being about 50-70 in line for BestBuy. Last year they camped out at 10pm the night before. Then they grilled their breakfast in the morning...
elena_398 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I believe it. I am around tons of die hard shoppers on BF. At my Best Buy if you aren't there by midnight, the line is already wrapped around the store
svblizard Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I live in the central time zone and shop in the eastern time zone plus it is about a 40 min or so drive to the mall, BB and CC so I have to leave early, if I'm going to WalMart first I don't have to leave too early but will need to anyway if I decide on the laptop or computer. I want to see the other ads before I make my final decision.
