bjclaywell Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I will be out of town on BF, but want to get some of the stuff that is for sale. Are any of the sales valid online? Or do I have to be in-store for them? TIA - BJC
reportermomof3 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I will be out of town on BF, but want to get some of the stuff that is for sale. Are any of the sales valid online? Or do I have to be in-store for them? TIA - BJC Many of the deals were available online last year. I didn't have to go to TRU's B&M last year because I was able to get all of my items online. But you have to be careful, some deals are NOT available online.
bjclaywell Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 Thank you! I'm going to assume the "early bird" specials (which of course, I want a few of) are not going to be online - but the rest I will deal with. It's going to cost me more than the savings to ship it all back home...unfortunately.
reportermomof3 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Oh, and forgot to say that last year there was also free shipping on many of the BF online deals. The online deals are usually available anytime after midnight (sometimes even before) so if you can get to a computer around midnight before you go out BF shopping, you can check to see whether or not the deal is available. HTH!
alimfp Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Best Buy had most of their deals available online last year.
TheDude Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Newbie question: So online sale starts at midnight? Which timezone? I never shop BF online before. Thanks in advance.
mtjoycol Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Toys R Us, K B toys all start on Midnight and you can get all the deals online. Or at least that is how it has worked the last three years I have ordered. Old Navy offers the same sales on line on black friday as they do in store. I never go into those three stores on black friday. So it saves me lots of time!
elena_398 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Depends on the store. Some BF items available but a lot of the door busters are in-store only
BigBob Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Staples had most of their 2004 BF deals on line too. But, their web site was grossly overloaded. Their new 'easy rebate' system was a total mess. I think I got my last rebates out of them in early April. Hopefully they learned from the 2004 BF disaster and 2005 will go smoothly. I know that I will hit their web site shortly after midnite and try to order all of the BF items I want that way.
elena_398 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Office Max had a lot of their BF items online too
orangedaisy Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I will definitely be checking out the online deals the night before. Anyone know what time zone?
elena_398 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 I am eastern. usually by midnight or 1am the deals are up here
Marcster Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Staples...Their new 'easy rebate' system was a total mess. I think I got my last rebates out of them in early April. You weren't the only one. It happened to me too. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/truestory.gif
aerosmithgirl Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 What about Wal-Mart?? If it states also online, will these start at Midnight?? This will save me a lot of trouble!! Also, I am a newbie. I registered last year, just not much posting. Thanks for any help!!
bethc24 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Just a heads up Sear's online had their BF offers available too. They let me go through the whole process of ordering with my credit card, gave me a confimation, etc...said everything was available and two days later I get an email saying that the items were sold out, and there was nothing they could do. So I didn't go to the store to get the items and I was out of luck. I haven't shopped at Sear's since..it just ticked me off!!
heavenlysshine Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Now, that's frightening. ~H~ Just a heads up Sear's online had their BF offers available too. pcsoon Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I may try some online BF shopping this year. I haven't ever thought about it before. It would make things alot easier even if you have to pay shipping. I just hope I don't have an experience like Bethc24.:)
BruschiFan Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Quick question re: online orders. Will they arrive within a week or so? How have ppl's luck been/what are the best sites to order online? Thx!
scalco2u Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 In 2004 I ordered two radar detectors that were on sale for 25.00 each (normally 79.99) They arrived within a week of ordering.
Candyred32 Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 WooHoo!! I've never thought of doing the BF online, but I think I will have to try it this year. Sure will save me the hassle having to fight the crowd.
gijimenez Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 In the WM ads they specify which items will be available online.
praveenml Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 This is my first BF. What you guys suggest buying online or standing in the line ? -Praveen
