I don't usually wait in line too long as my mom or me stands in line while the other shops if there is a line. I take my own clothes off the hangers and fold them only b/c I know it makes it go quicker when I get to the cashier.

The checkout lines at Best Buy are VERY long. They go past the CD, DVD, small electronics way into appliances.

A good 250 people deep and it moves slowly. Takes about 1 hour to reach the cashier.

Can't remember any long lines. I mean, there were long lines, but we've somehow always managed to hit the check-out at a reasonable time. Even at WM, we only waited 20 minutes......we wait longer than that on a usual Saturday afternoon.

I know someone that worked in the applicaces area, where it has it's own cashier. All you need to buy is an applicace, and your rest of your items there. It took me less than 10 secs last year. I chatted with my friend. I am sure that I was the first one to check out.

I bought one of the FAR prepaid phones and paid in the cell phone area for all of the stuff last year at BB--this year, even if i just buy a charger or face plate, I'm doing the same thing!!

I used to work at Circuit City a long, long time ago. On BF, all registers were open, and it didn't matter what you were buying. You buy a CD at the appliance register, or a stove at the audio/video register, etc. I don't know if that's how it is at Best Buy, but I'd imagine so.

BTW, it was like this everyday (any register could ring up anything), but on days other than BF there were often several registers that were closed. On BF, every register had someone there checking people out.

I am usually in line no longer then 5 minutes but the longest line I have ever been in was at TRU two years ago I waited about an hour. It was wrapped around the store. I will not go near that store on BF ever again! You can't get down the aisles they have stuff so spread out it's crazy. I will price match at Walmart or go without!
