Gporter34 Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 In your opinion do you come in contact with more friendly people or more hateful people on BF? I think I have definitely met more nice people. There are always a few rude ones but for the most part, we have a really good time talking and laughing with strangers we meet in the lines.
Booterbunz Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Yeah, I've met more friendly people than rude..thank goodness! LOL
diane175 Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 I usually have a good time meeting new people in line. They are usually excited and chatting about what they are there for. Once the doors open though, its usually every person for themselves! lol
StephanieD Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 The good outweighs the bad for me too. Most seem to generally be in a good mood...if you're out that early, you certainly want to be there...there are some who are in sour moods, but most are really nice.
mjmcca Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 The good generally outweighs the bad. I don't get there as early as some of you guys. I generally get started at 5 am and since i am in NYC i have to travel to either LI or NJ to get to any decent stores so i am not waiting in line for them to open. While waiting in line to pay i generally start talking to people. Most of them are nice.
brynnfromtheblock Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Good, I guess the bad people don't get up that early!!! (I take that back... some of the salespeople are really angry.... but I would be too if I had to work on BF!)
Guest DigDoug Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Generally good, but definetly some annoying people. In OfficeMax last year, there was a man (40s) and his son (20s) and they were just too close to me while waiting in line. I don't care much for crowds, but these guys kept bumping into me with their cart. I had to turn around a few times and tell them to give me some space.
rldelo Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Definitely more good than bad. I think people are generally more extreme that day.....the people who are nice the other 364 days of the year are SUPER nice and have a good attitude on BF. But the people who are uncivil the other 364 days are the ones who are ultra-jerky that day!
Gporter34 Posted October 16, 2005 Author Posted October 16, 2005 Amen to that. I always meet so many friendly people on BF. I look forward to talking to them every year.
outnumbered Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 You know...I am so focused on what I am buying and getting in and out of the store...I don't even notice whether the people around me are nice or not. Well, if they are nice, I wind up talking to them or whatever, but at the end of the day, I don't remember. I just remember how much I saved.
vonnyb Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Most people I have met on BF friday have been very nice. Especially while waiting in line. People don't start getting a little testy until they are through those doors.
oldandintheway Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 The good normally outweighs the bad. I can't say that I've never had any bad experiences on BF, but that's not the norm. I'm a really talkative person and I've met some great people over the years while waiting for the stores to open on BF.
abram87 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 The good outweighs the bad, sales like this only come around once a year, and there is no way I would miss it.
JazzMama Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Most are friendly. I always end up chatting in the lines before we can get in.
elena_398 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Definately more friendly people. I meet tons of nice people while waiting in line. You will always have those few people who are rude though
