RossMAN Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Nice deal and unlike the previous deal this is a Pentium-M vs Celeron, more RAM, HD, DVD Burner and WiFi. If I didn't need a small laptop (Dell 700m) I'd buy this in a heart beat.
freesia39 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 oh man. if i didn't need new tires and brakes... a second laptop in the house would be nice.
Brad Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Just a reminder that the 25% coupon for this deal expires tomorrow morning.
Lobes Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Then use 25% off coupon code C6$06RV0FR8441 at checkout to get it for only $756.90I can't seem to get my final cart price anywhere close to $756.90. Something must not be working right.
BobbyDouglas Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Brad, this seems to be similar to the old $799 off $1499 deals. Even though the coupon is 25%, the prices are down pretty good. Is this right?
Brad Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Brad, this seems to be similar to the old $799 off $1499 deals. Even though the coupon is 25%, the prices are down pretty good. Is this right?Correct. Remember a few weeks ago how Dell said they had lowered the "regular" prices of the systems so that the current affiliate coupons (25/30% off) would be nearly equal to the older 40%/$750 off coupons. This is an example of that.
fowen Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or not but it doesn't seem to be allowing me to use the coupon. Did the maximum amount of uses run out?
Brad Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 It doesn't look like it has reached the max uses, but it isn't applying to this particular system for some reason. I know it was working this morning. Maybe they decided it was too good of a deal and make the coupon incompatible.
jonottawa Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 I'm too good of a deal-hunter. I'm incompatible with Dell.
fowen Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 I was able to take advantage of this deal earlier today as well. It also (earlier today) had the extra %'s off for the upgrades but now it doesn't
Lobes Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 I was able to take advantage of this deal earlier today as well. It also (earlier today) had the extra %'s off for the upgrades but now it doesn't Same here. I tried again later, and instead of the hard drive upgrade, I got bumped it up to 1GB of RAM (just to get the price over $999). The coupon worked fine (but the lowest price I was able to get was around $872 w/ handling/tax). I guess I should also note this was on the 600M, not the 6000.
