tleach3mom
If you are a student or employee of a school and have a valid email address ending in .edu you get a free 1 yr subscription to amazon prime (that means free 2-day shipping on any prime eligible order regardless of total). tyreejames
I wonder if an alumni account would qualify? It would; you only need the .edu to verify. After that you can keep using your regular email. I'm waiting for my amazon mom to expire and then I'm signing up for this one :)
freesia39
Previously discussed here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?177957-Free-Year-of-Amazon-Prime-with-.edu-email-address&highlight=free+amazon+prime I'd want to point out what I posted before: I have a .edu email address, but I was wary to sign up due to this: To sign up for and use Amazon Student, you must (1) have an Amazon.com account, (2) be a college student actively enrolled in at least one course at a college geographically located in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, (3) be able to provide proof of enrollment upon request and (4) have a valid e-mail address that contains the domain suffix .edu. The chances of them auditing it is probably thin, but if your email address is something like alumni.universityname.edu, it probably won't fly. I had my sister sign up and she added me on.If they audit you and you are not a student, you have to pay back all the shipping charges.
