hmeshow Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I typically shop at Wal Mart on BF but don't get there until about 3am. This yr my Husband and I would like to get the laptops. I was thinking that we would be there for midnight (for a 5am opening) ... does anyone think this is a good time or should we make it earlier? Thanks! *already stressed about BF shopping!

DaFees Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I will field this one from my experiences last year @ WalMart. It mainly depends where you live. If you live in a big city with a large population then you may need to line up @ midnight or even sooner than that, but if you live in a small town, a rural town, or just some place nobody has ever heard of, then perhaps lining up @ midnight should be fine. Oh and one other thing to keep in mind: The cheaper the laptop the sooner you should consider lining up.

messymommy Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Be sure to watch Walmart's online specials for the laptops. You might get a better one for your money that way and you won't have to wait all night for it.

rollingrock411 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Went last year for the $198 lap top,got there at 3am and the last ticket for that lap top was handed out at 2:30 and there was about 40 people in line. We ended up settling for the HP which still had about 15 tickets left.

And the bigger question,how many will they have because I was pretty disappointed with the Saturday sale,my WM only had a handful of each of the TVs on sale,no where near enough for all the people that were there in line. I like the deal though and seems quite a few other people do as well.

GLLet us know how that works out for you. I would think the arrival time would be earlier if the ad was stronger.
