fluffkin79
I would like to pick up a jacket in the BF ad. I went to the store to check it out, and I think I found the one that will be on sale. If that's the one then I like it and want to get it, but they have a limited quantity and none in my DD's size. Will they get more in? Can I have them order one for me and pay on BF? If I try to order online for instore pickup is it based on store availability? yellowjeepster
Sears has a Price Protection Policy... they will give you the difference if the price goes lower w/in 14 days of your purchase. If you are sure that is the coat then buy it now and then take the receipt in on bf during the sale hrs. and get the adjustment. Says it can be done for purchases online also. You might ask at your Sears location but this is what the policy states. I am thinking about doing this on a washer/dryer set so I know for sure I get it but DH is afraid they won't adjust. They adjusted a few yrs. ago on an item I purchased w/no problem but who knows now.
fluffkin79
Good thought on the price adjust! According to the price protection policy Brad posted they won't match competitor's BF prices, but they will adjust their own. Now I have to find a store that has the right coat in the right size... peppysfireball
IT's early still, they will probably get new stock for the sale.
Rockfordmom
go in and ask when you are buying the item, ask if it goes on sale for bf can I get a price adjustment, and see what they tell you, say something like - I'm thinking of buying this right now but I don't know if I should wait and see if it goes on sale for bf... rgg414
As I understand it, they will match their own prices if it is a regular sale. However if it is a door buster or a limited time offer (i.e. until noon) then they will not match it.
yellowjeepster
Went into Sears tonight for the F&F sale to buy a washer/dryer set that will be on sale on bf during the 2 day event. We were in the process of ringing it up and I asked if this goes on sale lower if they would price adjust and he said yes in a 14 day time period. Then I said well this is in the bf ad and then he said they don't adjust on bf. So I said their policy says they do and we waited for a manager to get the answer. She said no and pulled the policy up online but she was referring to the Price Matching policy and I said no it's the adjustment policy and it even states as long as you bring in the receipt during the time period they will adjust. She didn't know what to say b/c I was correct except that they had meetings on this subject and they were not suppose to adjust. I said that isn't what your corporate policy states. So I didn't buy the set but the sales man said he would call me as soon as the store opens and I could order over the phone w/him. So I am going to print the policy and be very vocal if they don't adjust b/c I talked DH into buying something early in the tool department, lol. yellowjeepster
Come on they were just doing there job I know and I was under control. BUT as I said before, she was referring to the price match policy not the price protection policy. If they are not going to abide by corporate rules then they should have that posted all over the doors and in store. If all stores are not going to follow the same rules then why have any rules or policies to begin with?
Rose0426
You could always buy the jacket on BF in anther size and then exchange it for the right size when they get more in.

If they did everyone would be getting them the week before.
Lawdog
You are wise to proceed cautiously here... They tried to wriggle out of the plsain language on me two years ago when I bought a doorbuster Blu-ray player a couple days ahead. Fortunately, I got a business card from employee and he wrote on it, so when I went back during the doorbuster time frame--which they require by the way--and got some flak, I had this. They may have tweaked their policy a little in the meantime, but I'm not sure.
