fairyprincess83
Target is opening at 4am this year. I dont know if this is news to the forum, but I thought I would post it.A friend of mine who works at Target told me about this a couple weeks ago. I don't like it!! We always go to Kohls for 4am and then head over to Target, I guess we will have to change up our routine this year:(
BFAddict716
That is horrible news!! I always do Kohl's at 4am, Walmart at 5am and Target at 6am. What will I do now? The ads will decide it all I guess...
sweetdiggity
Wow, if they have something I really want I'll have to be there earlier than usual. I hope Wally World still opens at 5 though so I don't have to choose which one to go to first. Hate that! But, competition between the two is always so big I bet its 4am for Wally, too. ugh. lol

ilgetumipretty
The last few years I have had great luck with going to Target late on Wednesday night when they are already starting to put stuff out that's not doorbusters. You can purchase it and then go back in on BF and get a price adjustment. Works like a charm!! I think last year I was even able to score a couple things that were doorbusters this way... brinak2005
I really hope Target and Walmart do NOT open at the same time. That would be waaayyy too stressful for me.
momof3luvs1
At this rate with every year the stores going earlier Black FRiday is going to turn into Black Thursday....with all the sales starting on Thursday!!
BFAddict716
I just do not understand what stores think they gain from all opening at the same time? I would want to open at a different time then my competitors so I had a better chance of people being at my store. If everyone (Kohl's, Target, Walmart) all open at 4am the only the one with the best ad is going to benefit...
jadedmomof2
That would work for me, go to Target first, then run across the street to Joann's to get there before it opens, after Joann's run to Office Max for memory cards/DVD-R's, and done except for online shopping. Unless Walmart's ad is better for what I want this year, then I'd head there first.

Every store wants you to pick, and they want you to pick them. Door Busters (many BF items) are not big money makers for the stores, they are hoping that while you are in their store shopping that you grab a couple things that are not on sale (moneymakers). Since they can't control what other stores do, they all push earlier and earlier.

rjncmj
So if several stores now open at 4am does this mean the sales/ads will be really competitive (good) this year?
Elmck
As long as they all have great deals I am okay with earlier openings. I am surprised the are not opening at midnight like TRU does.

arci122
Don't stress too much about them all opening at the same time. Divide and conquer then settle up with friends/family later......we have 4 in our vehicle.

eileenrich
I would love to see some stores open earlier like TRU! But I too go to Kohl's first, then WM, then Target and head over to Penny's for the snow globe! Can't wait for the adds to be posted!!! Hoping to get a few deals on big screen TV's! iluvwalmart
I'm sorry but this is getting just a tad bit ridiculous having these stores open so early for BF. There is no need to open this early. Like someone else said, it's gonna get to the point where it wont be BF anymore it will be BT.
Tigger97498
Yes!!!!!! BTHodgeman
What would be really nice is if Target actually had any good deals... Since they've been doing the "2-day sale," I haven't had any reason to go there.
