2chia
Hi I am new here to the forum and have been doing BF for about 13 years. None of my female relatives or coworkers are into doing BFing with me and at each of my job , my supervisor knows come the Friday after Thankgiving , I won't be at work. :) So , my question is.. What was the greatest BF item you have ? To qualify , there would have to be a huge price difference between the regular retail price and the BF price... I am a cashmere loving person , so my would have to be the 2 for $100 at Robinson-May Company...
starbeck96
Mine would have to be the Playskool Rose Petal Cottage. I got it at Toysrus at a huge discount. It was a blessing bc my daughter wanted a playhouse and we could not afford a $200 or $300 house so we had been looking at these. The Rose Petal Cottages were regular around 100 i think. I got it for like 25 and bought the sink and washer for 9.00 each and they regularly about $25-30 each. So I was able to buy all of it for around 50 tax and all. I think I saved around 150.00. starbeck96
Kota the dinosaur...Originally $300.00, got it for 99.00 on bf! We went in Target looking for toys sometime last year before Christmas. I wanted to show my daughter Kota. So my husband and I took her over to Kota and pushed the little button. She absolutely had a fit..lol. She started climbing out of the buggy and was literally climbing up me. Once we got her away from Kota, we laughed and laughed..lol. When I saw this post, I just had to reply. It brought back that memory..lol. Needless to say there was no Kota for christmas..lol
2chia
Wow, Starbeck96 and Momof3luvs1 , you surely know how to find great bargain. Doesn't it just bring you the greatest joy to know you not only didn't pay for retail price but at a great BARGAIN price ? I just get fuzzy feeling about it. All my friends / coworkers thinks I am crazy. LOL.
starbeck96
Yes! It gives me great joy in knowing that I find a great deal. It is the only way we are able to give our kids a Christmas. I feel like I owe that to my husband for working so hard for us. I have one friend who shares my joy. She is the one who always goes with me BF shopping. My mom and sister don't get it though..lol. They think I am crazy for already thinking about BF..lol.
cutexianchick
One of my best finds was bf 2008, walmart power wheels jeep for $88. Was way in the back of the line... got to the toy section and gone... asked a worker, she looked at me and said what color? Pink... she went inside the garden area and said I have one pink one left... you finish your shopping and I will save it for you! I must admit I was really nervous she was gonna do something with it! LOL non bf find the same year... Costco had a doll stroller, crib, highchair set sold out... around $150. Stopped at my moms costco on christmas eve, under one of the clothing tables was this set in a box... took it up and it scanned for $45!! 2nd best find was last year Targets 30'something flat screen for $229... I love the TV, works great!

mcwalker
2nd best find was last year Targets 30'something flat screen for $229... I love the TV, works great! That Westinghouse 32" HDTV is one of my favorite deals, as well. Was concerned that they would be gone by the time I got in, but there were enough and they ran out soon after--well before I got out of the store.Another was the Sony Bluray player I got two years ago at Sears--the only one they had in stock and I got it the day before Thanksgiving and did my only price adjustment so far.Percentage-wise, some of my best deals were probably smaller / cheaper items. Both the prime iitems and the smaller ones are fun.
2chia
And, my friends though I am weird about being jumping out of my shoes in joy to find a super great Bargain. I am so glad ... Ok. Now that I saw everyone else's post. I gotta to work harder on finding a bargain.
len_mullen
My favorite BF purchase remains my Navigon 2100t. Waited in line for three hours for that. Biggest savings on a single item was the generator I picked up at Home Depot last year (dropped a Lowe's moving coupon on them to sweeten the deal). Lusha120
there have been many! best deal? Old navy has to be one of my favorites. Got the rock band thing last year, took sister with me, bought her her x-mas presents and she got a rock band game too! Our store manager knows us from previous black fridays and always lets us in early and brings me coffe. she just knows I'll be there!!! that is a sweet deal. But best overall... there was a pre owned gameboy ps something... store was supposed to open @ 6 am in the mall... I was @ another store in the mall buying for my daughter, sister went down to check out that stores line. It was opening early, she had my ad jumped in line, called me and i ran through the mall like I had the hounds of hell on my heels. meanwhile my sister is being jumped on/trampled trying to reach one....I HAD to have that stupid thing. there were none left (used system 60.00 or something like that. I was crying showed the guy my ad, with the stated store opening time.... he gave me the new one at the used price. prbably got fired after that but hey, my kid bawled his eyes out on christmas morning. It was his last christmas with santa... it had to be done.
angfastic
I'd have to say the steam washer and dryer I got last year at Best Buy. Since it was an appliance they said I could come back around 6 or 6:30. So I returned at 6:30 and was in line for 3 hours. They ran out of the original Samsung set and switched to an LG set. By the time I got up there they had run out of that one. I had them call the manager since he had just told me 30 mins before I'd be able to get the LG. The manager said since I had been in line for hrs to find me something. I ended up getting a nicer Samsung set for $599 each piece.

rjncmj
2 Years ago at Kohls - a 24 pc stainless steel pot and pan set w/some utensils. It was marked with a regular price of $249. BF sale of $99 plus a $40 mail-in-rebate, and my mom has a Kohls store credit card and had a coupon for 20% off. So I got the set for $45 after tax and rebate. As I was unpacking piece after piece from the box, my mom was kicking herself for not getting another for her. I love the set too, it has held up beautifully. Last BF Kohls didn't even come close to as good as that offer imo.
billcsho
Last year at Kohls.com, I got 6 pieces of small appliances (reg $30-$50 each) for free after rebate, rewards, cash back, coupons, and with free shipping. Even sales tax and postage are all covered.
ctdcnc
Without a doubt -- a black Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand Mixer listed at $359.00 that I got for $187.00 at Kohls. It still gives me a thrill to think of it!
flyjar
I got a Yamaha A/V receiver and 6.1 JBL speaker package from Best Buy for $200 a few years ago. I retailed for $600, it was on sale for $400 and $100 mail-in rebate, but it rang-up for $300 + the $100 mail-in rebate made it $200. I still have it and it works great. jllouie
Free DDR2 RAM. Office Max messed up and there was no rebate for it so they were just giving it away. BEST deal ever. No tax either. Just walk out the door with it. They also had a $20 leather computer chair that year. I think this was.... 2003.
JohnnyLaRue
I've said this before but my best deal I ever got was at Best Buy. I got there 2 hours before open. I had a $50 giftcard and I wanted the HDTV they had on sale. Long story short I got the HDTV (not a big ticket item). I got to the register and showed the cashier the ad. She gave me the $200 rebate. I got home and saw the receipt said it was a mail in rebate for $200. Thus giving me $400 off the HDTV + the $50 giftcard I had so I paid about $45 for the TV. jenmovdob
The best I can think of was last year. $100 earrings from Macys for $19. My step mom loved them. Also, I got a fantastic winter coat from old navy for $20. I can't wait for this year! People make fun of me for being super organized, but I mapped out my trip last year and was able to get every single item on my list! I was able to save so much money that I had a very relaxing season while my friends were broke from paying retail.
arf110106
Ok, you guys will probably think this is corny, but those 25 dollar microwaves from Walmart back in 2008 lmao! I love that thing and it STILL works!
teaneckgirl
I don't think the microwave is corny lol. I waited outside of Target on BF in 2008 for a $30 micorowve that my mother in law wanted. Everyone ran in there like whoa! Luckily after elbowing my way through the crowd of people I grabbed it and was the first one to hit the registers lol. I only went for that one item and then I hit Jersey Garden Outlets mall.

It's crazy too, 2008 was my first time going out on BF and I got everything on my list as if I was a pro. It was great, and now that my shopping buddies won't be out of town this year it's gonna be fun just like it was in 2008. Can't wait!
chilimak
10 yrs. ago, at my very first BF shopping adventure, I got a Little Tikes play kitchen for my kids for $35. Originally around $100. There were only 7 or so in the store and me and my friend were among the lucky to get it. I think it was at Ames store. Not even sure if those stores even exist anymore, lol. Anyway, we were visiting friends in the Chicago area for Thanksgiving. After dinner, we 2 couples decided to go out BF shopping the next day and planned on what stores to hit. I was so excited to get that kitchen so cheap. Was also excited that we managed to keep it hidden in our van until we got back home to Pennsylvania 2 days later. The kids never even knew about it, lol. After that, I was hooked on BF and have gone every year since. Love it!!
