I was able to pick up the Christmas Story Train, which I am SOOOOO excited about! DS is going to LOVE this! But, had a lady accuse me of stealing it out of her cart...the Target employee who saw me take it off the shelf had to come over and tell the lady that I didn't steal it out of her cart and that she had no right to accuse me of it. The team member scanned the grill for me and it was not going to be marked down anymore today. I believe her b/c she also told me that toys would be 75% off today. Is it fun?) Total = $23.80 - $5 MFG cpn for the activity ball = $18.80!! (I'm super excited - never got such a great deal before) I was really lucky. This store never K1s legit cpns, adjust down, whatever… they will deny deny deny all the way to the end. But this cashier was really nice even asked me how I wanted it all bagged up. fintime Posted January 15, 2010 Share Posted January 15, 2010 I find it frustrating that when I went to my Target store in Kansas right when they unlocked the doors at 8am, there were workers inside (who were supposedly clocked out) piling toys into their carts to purchase. So they were basically buying the marked down toys before the store even opened and the rest of us were left with barely anything to choose from! Is that really fair! I agree with you. I am all for employees getting a chance but when they can set their stuff back or come in earlier than customers to shop I don't think that is fair. They spread the rest of them around the store. He was still able to make it out with most of what I wanted though. 75% off at Redwood Road store and heard South Jordan also went 75%. I also wanted to say, I saw a lot of board games, legos, Circo train thing (I don't know exactly what it was) Construction set, food toys (hotdog, sandwich) - which I was tempted to get, but passed on for now - there were a lot of them, Leapster games, Smartcycle games (which were $7.19 here - what a price difference), Vsmile games and outdoor games as well. Then I went to Princeton/Hightstown and only 50% off for toys. My best deal was those small smurf houses, they were $3.xx at the Rt. 9 store. There were only 2 or 3 kitchenaid items in either store. I too saw a Target employee with a HUGE cart of stuff. Luckily I didn't want a whole lot since my kiddo is getting older, but there was one thing I really wanted and missed out on...the Snow White and 7 Dwarfs set. I know this is a long shot, but if anyone sees one and is willing to grab it for me, I'm in Olathe/Overland Park area...I will pay to have it shipped!!! I don't know anyone that works there, but one employee would scan things for me and help me put hings in my cart. Our target hadn't marked them before the 8am opening so, those of us there at 8 got a little extra help getting our stuff marked down to 75% off and help with our carts. There were at least 4 other people there (not friends of the workers) that they personally helped too. Besides, I figure one of the perks of working in a place like target is they get first dibs.
