Also $1.95 for shipping and I was surprised to see tax added to my total. I didn't think an item like this would have tax??? Still debating whether to get it.

I went to emusic.com and it says that you have to buy a membership and pay monthly fees? They won't even let me look at the site without signing up. Does anyone else have any further information on this special, because it is something that my 17 year old daughter would love, but I don't want to get stuck paying monthly fees and not have a huge selection of songs to choose from. Any help would be very much appreciated!

My DD14 received a card for emusic before. She did not find much on there that she liked, neither did I. It was mostly music that is not mainstream. Artists that are unknown or up & coming. We got Taylor Swift's first CD from there but very soon afterwards all of her music was removed, since she became well known very fast.

Thanks for the info! I was afraid that would be the case....I think I'll be passing on this one. Amazon has the best deals on music most of the time and I think I'll just get her an Amazon gift card!

Emusic is more independent bands .. I was really disappointed. You can normally find like 50 free downloads to their site anyway - I'd skip it.
