jcarr492
Dh hooked his up last night and we like it! We don't have HD on that satellite box, and the picture was fine...not as good as it would be with hd on it..but its just for the bedroom anyhow. Should we have a different cable wire connected to it...or just the one that we use for the satellite? We didn't get any different cable for it. sjmmclark
I have mine in my bedroom hooked up to a HD satelitte receiver and the picture is great very comparable to our Sony Bravia 120 HZ in the rec room.
Rtty
I bought the 42" plasma. The picture and sound are great. The tv was advertised as Emerson however, after a little research, I found out it was actually made by Samsung. Heck of a deal for $450.

len_mullen
same here, but every year I hear that this no name set is really a kuro or that it's defective parts from some brand. Many manufacturers send you to a funai site when you click their support link. Made me think that funai made these sets. If you select LCD-TV as product category, leave model as is, and click next, you will get a list of models and brands (including emerson, ilo, sylvania, and symphonic). Just curious. mudd274
Does anyone know what code is for the DTV remote for this TV? 32 inch one. I have tried all that is listed at DTV site. Edited December 4, 2009 by mudd274
dalgal101
I have tried the codes also with no luck. I had read the reviews that it is an issue. My aunt got the same TV and called Direct TV and they said it is an Emerson problem and she called Emerson and they said it was a Direct TV problem. I have Dish Network and can't get it to work so I would say it is Emerson's problem(or whoever the actual manufacture is). If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it. Rtty
Not sure this will work but it is worth a try. Punch in codes for Samsung Tv's. You may get lucky?

Rtty
On a Universal remote, Emerson numbers wil not work however Samsung will. The remote code number for the 42" plasma is 027...
