Rebirth Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Every year it seems one store closes down, and not many new stores open. CompUSA closed most of the stores down. CCs closed all of their stores. Some ODs and OMs. Does anyone misses the store close downs?
ourhappyfamily4 Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 Our local Goodies closed, and also a Steve and barrys ( not local, but with in a hour away) Would be nice to have them back this year. Or to have new stores( maybe old navy,Target or burke's outlet) to open up in the empty store buildings left behind...
wx4svr Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I haven't noticed it... but now that you mention it... I'm starting to think the same.
amberjobryant Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I am really missing Goody's this year, loved them the past two years they had alot of toys on BF made it so easy to avoid walmart!

As the economy rebounds, other chains will capitalize on the low real estate values and move in to the now empty storefronts and expand their market share.
BCBGirl Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I know I will miss Circuit City...Try newegg.com, amazon.com, and geeks.com
theboyzmom Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I know the chain isn't closed, but I really miss our Old Navy And yes, Steve and Barrys is missed here also
rockpzazz Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I won't miss them at Black Friday time, but I do miss Circuit City. I also miss Steve & Barry's despite not having one closeby. I never cared for Goody's but one opened close by and I went a few times. One store I do miss is Osco, not sure if all of them closed, but I had 2 within 45 minutes close, and I enjoy them much better than Walgreens. I loved going there especially for Christmas.
celticnurse Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I think I miss Bradlee'si used to LOVE shopping at Bradlee's when we had one a zillion years ago. i don't miss CC at all. i do kinda miss MW, though.
pogiporkchop Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I too was disappointed to see my Steve and Barry's close but the store that went in its place, Wear District, is along the same line but with more trendy styles... definitely the same on pricing!
baraginfinder Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I miss Circuit City and the Disney Store
miss_heidi Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss Value City. They had some really good deals there on BF.
