  1. Fantastic Find. Thank you so much. I have quite a few kids to buy for.. I foresee a very happy 4 y/o. :-)
  2. Thanks so much! Money is tight this year and I can't afford much more than the kinect my son wants. This is a perfect way to fit in a few more gifts under the tree. :-)
  3. I tried to use the Red Envelope code I got from my Restaurant.com purchase but got an error message saying the code was invalid?!?
  4. Thanks! I haven't tried Restaurant.com yet but we've been wanting to. This was just too good to pass up.
  5. We started at Target. Actually didn't arrive until about 10 minutes to opening. Wasn't bad. Huge lines but I rushed back to electronics and got an XBox 360 for my son. (Elite Holiday Bundle with Batman Lego & Pure) I got $60 in GC back (one for $50 and one for $10) so basically got it for $239.00. Then I used my GC to go get the rest of my items: Cordless Drill for my boyfriend, was $59, paid $39 Mossimo Thermal Shirt for my boyfriend $12.00 KungFu Panda DVD for my son $5.99 Pants and a shirt for mom $30.00 T-Shirt for my son $3.00 Hamper for my son $12.00 Snow Pants for my son $16.00 a few $ stocking stuffers Total that round was around $130.00, but the clerk let me use the $60 GC from the Xbox purchase. Total spent at Target was appx. $370.00 for everything. The clerk also gave me another $10.00 GC which I turned around and handed to my mom who was in line behind me. (I don't often shop at Target cause of the difference) Overall it was a great trip. The second line was long.. we spent 2 hrs in it, but the manager was great, they were fairly organized. Really best BF experience I've had so far. After that we just went to Michaels for my mother. My son had a birthday party to go to that afternoon and I needed to get headed home.
  6. I haven't been very impressed either. XBox 360 is on the list and I'm just not seeing any great deal. Still waiting to see what the local Fred Meyers has for BF but I'm not holding my breath.
  7. Here is what my DS - Age 8 has so far... BB Gun Bow & Arrow Set Nintendo DS More Funkeys (just got UB Funkey's yesterday and he loves it!)
  8. I totally agree. I stopped in at the Gamestop near work and they were super nice and gave me info about approximate delivery dates, times, etc.
  9. Thanks! I picked up 4 sheets. Even if it only wraps the stocking stuffers for our fur babies I know my son will get a smile out of it. :-)
  10. Fantastic! Thanks so much. I purchased cup-cake tins which I needed anyhow and got the Wok set for free! BF has been wanting a Wok so this is a fantastic X-mas gift down for him. Total including shipping was $11.97.
  11. I just bought a new mattress and box spring set yesterday from Mattress World. They have a fantastic sale going on through presidents day. We spent $499.00 for a set that was originally appx 900.00.
  12. They are more eerie like stories but my 8 step-son loves the goose-bumps books
  13. Gotta agree with this too! I used Pampers because they truly worked the best. (Huggies were NOT leak-proof for my breastfed lil one)
  14. I got a diaper cake for my baby shower and it was one of the best gifts! The one I got she took a round piece of cardboard and covered it in alum.foil. Then took baby diapers and rolled them into rolls (putting a small rubber band around eachone in the middle. Stuck them in a circle and put a ribbon around them. (The ribbon covered the rubber bands and made it look like the "icing" on the cake.) She did a smaller "layer" of diapers on the next row up and she topped it with a pretty bow that had a pacifier tied in with it.
  15. Thanks! I really appreciate the heads up... we are looking for a new mattress for us plus another for my son!
  16. I agree that something homeade is best.. you could make some type of freezer casserole... include some paper plates, cups and silverware from your local dollar store and they have an easy dinner for a night of unpacking.
  17. You can get fantastic stuff for kids at Michaels. The have tons of project stuff for girls and boys. (My son LOVES the kids isle). Anyhow if you have one of the 40% coupons you can save money as well. We usually purchase a lot of gifts for kids in the extended family this way.
  18. The fav. gift I received as a Hostess Gift was: A pretty red and green basket filled with: Christmas Hand Towels A Scented Candle Individually Wrapped Chocolates Homeade CD of Misc. relaxing Christmas Music. It was wrapped with a pretty bow that had an ornament tied in and had a card that wished me time to unwind after the party.
