  1. No. And, speaking of camping out, there is a new IKEA opening in our area this week (tomorrow to be exact) and people have been camping out since yesterday for a free chair. Um...I have chairs, thanks. I think I'll pass on the camping out and sleep in until 4:00am.
  2. I usually find that Walmart and Target are the best. They have extra staff, and Heaven forbid, if you have to return something that you bought, it is so much easier to do. I love Target's gift receipts also.
  3. Thanks. I was wondering because I know that the ads are so HUGE, especially Wal-Mart and Target, so I thought it was possible there could be some subtle differences.
  4. Well, I have seen some Santa outfits, but never Spiderman. I wouldn't do it, but you should definitely get some publicity out of it. :)
  5. Macy's has some great BF deals each year. Usually jewelry and electronics are what we look at, but they have some great linen sales also.
  6. Well, shoot...my computer freaked out again, and my post didn't show up! Anyway, I was just saying that I completely agree about the grumpy people. If you don't want to be there, STAY HOME! I always hope that I will be standing next to some people that are in a good mood--not necessarily talkative, but not crabby either. I also think that if you have younger children you should leave them at home. They are cranky, hungry and sleepy, and really don't need to be there. One of us always stayed at home when our kids were little. Now that they are teenagers, it's no big deal as long as there is a coffee bribe.
  7. Yeah, we don't have K-Mart stores anymore either. I never cared for their return policy anyway. My sister gave my son some jeans and they didn't fit, but she lives out of town and didn't send the receipt. We tried to exchange them for the exact jeans, just in a different size, and they were only going to give us 50% credit... They still had the tags, they had never been worn, they didn't fit, they could re-sell them, but they wanted us to pay more money to exchange them. I don't miss them at all. I'll stick with Target and Wal-Mart.
  8. Do some of the major chains have local BF ads in addition to the nationally advertised sales? I look all through the ads on Thanksgiving (that's one of our annual fun things to do after we have eaten...look through the ads to decide where we want to go and what we want to give/receive), but I have never noticed if they are area specific.
  9. We usually split up and hit 9 or 10 of them. My hubby and my son will drop off my daughter and me to hit the mall (duh!) and then they go to the Target, WalMart, etc. stores that aren't located in the mall. My daughter and I turn on our cell phones and we split up in the mall to get stuff. Last year we brought my MIL and my SIL and we really got a lot accomplished!
