  1. Hello August! Looking forward to my first trip to Japan just over 3 weeks from now! I foresee picking up a few souvenir Christmas gifts while I am there.
  2. I am in Montreal for Canada Day (July 1) and long "July 4th Weekend" (driving home on the 4th). Unfortunately, Canada Day was pretty much rained out here in Montreal. Also unfortunately, it looks like all the rains passed south of the wildfires north of here.
  3. Looking forward to June (July, and August).
  4. Checking in for May. Enjoying spring weather.
  5. Hello, April. Enjoying the longer daylight and looking forward to warmer weather.
  6. Time Marches on.
  7. We are getting close to your prediction already. New York City finally got our first measurable snow of the season on February 1 (but just 0.4 inches at that) -- the latest first snow of the season ever recorded in New York City.
  8. Happy New Year 2023!
  9. Hello December. Happy Holidays!
  10. Final hours to join for 2023...
  11. The consulting planning/engineering company I work for has given Black Friday as a company holiday for many years. Before that most people (including me) always found ways to take the day off as part of a four day weekend.
  12. Harrisburg/Camp Hill, Pennsylvania this year on a getaway from home in New York City.
  13. Even if they don't print ads, I like to see a PDF formatted like a printed ad. Hated Best Buy's approach last year and Walgreens no weekly ad approach.
  14. I passed on the "club" this year, but here we go for 2023.
  15. Congratulations to the winners!
  16. What I am really interested in seeing is to what extent the ads appear to have really exceptional "Black Friday level deals" anymore. The Black Friday adds increasingly look like Weekly ads to me. That said, I look for the "big" ads: Walmart, Kohls, Target; and I like to see if the three pharmacies will offer the special deals they have in the past, but which have been diminishing.
  17. First post of the season and I won! Thanks, GottaDeal / Brad.
  18. Wrangler jeans from Walmart most years. In the past from the bins in the stores, but last year I ordered online to get a size not available in the stores. Various items from the three pharmacy chains that tend to repeat good deals each year. For example, gift cards with "bucks back."
  19. October is cool November has Black Friday December is fun
  20. This was a very slow Black Friday for me. I didn't even look through most ads until Wednesday due to heavy work load. We were traveling in Plymouth MA for Thanksgiving this year. I was at Walmart at 6:00 AM when they opened to check on Wrangler jeans that I buy most years, but knew that they have additional sizes online, so I walked out without buying anything and ordered two pair of jeans and a Magic Bullet later in the day. Stopped by Kohls and found a wallet for my birthday and CVS for free toothpaste. Returned to two other Kohl's later in the evening with my wife who was looking for towels as a gift. I found out late that my wife wants a "stick" vacuum for Christmas, so I did a bit of research and looked at some in Kohls, but didn't buy one yet. I need to do a bit more research and will buy one later. There was a good line at the Walmart when I arrived, but we all got in within a few minutes after opening. No place I saw was crowded. For the first time in years, I didn't even go to a Target, Home Depot, or many other stores.
  21. Looking for that list, too, but getting a bit late to create one now.
  22. I haven't been around much this season (and not looking for much this BF), but here I am for another year. And Happy Thanksgiving!
  23. I have used Braun Series 3 shavers for years and swear by them. They are simpler and lower cost than the higher number Braun series. Note that Braun shavers use a linear shaver head, whereas some others use three round heads. If your husband was happy with the one he had, consider choosing one from the same brand or one that "looks like it" if you can't confirm the maker and model number.
  24. Last I checked, Rite Aid bonus cash becomes valid the next day, so you cant do rolling purchases the same day (as you could at Walgreens). That said, if you want to make the effort, the Rite Aid Black Friday deals are good 11/25 to 11/27, so you should be able to buy some items the first day, then roll to the second day and third day.
  25. Looks like that happened to mine--it's not lighting. They take two CR2032 batteries and I have one in the house, so I will order some more.
