I read Blue Christmas awhile back, it was a great book. I read the other 2 books in that series right after that. I am always looking for new Christmas books too. Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg is a good one. Oh, I have read so many and cannot think of any right now...I am gioing to the library today so I will look. Debbie Macomber has good Christmas ones. The Mitford books by Jan Karon- there are a few w/ Christmas theme...they are great!!! Gooseberry Patch Christmas books are great for ideas on homemade gifts and recipes. Aunt Dimity's Christmas by ? and Mary Higgins Clark has a few books that take place during Christmas.

I am so JEALOUS! I love snow!!! I always write down the 1st snowfall of the year in my kids' baby books. (well, they are not baby books anymore) I keep trying to persuade my DH we need to move somewhere that gets snow alot!

use it in large baggies when shipping breakables...instead of bubble wrap or styrofoam oops...someone already said that one glue it on styrofoam balls or a topiary form so you will have popcorn decor.

I went the other day and got 7 toothbrushes for .10 each and packs of 10 tealights for .10 each and some other misc. items

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I have a cvs question if anyone can answer it. I tried to buy stuff all week and they were out, so I finally get rainchecks for the items. The (new) cashier said I would just get money back instead of ecbs. Is that right? So, the item I want to purchase is 3.29 and the ecb on it is 3.29, they will just give me my money back?It just seems to good to be true! Does anyone know about their policies on rainchecks? TIA

I agree w/ a pp about scrapbooking stuff. I have nieces who love the stuff and more more girls that age and in their teens are getting into it.

My sister and I always go out for breakfast or lunch, then take stuff home and then I usually have to go get my kids from my Mom's, so no sleep for me.

I only take my purse and coffee for in the car. We don't camp out as we are lucky enough to be in a small area that we can get there around 5:00 and get what we want.

The last few years, my Dad and I have went to kmart and Big lots on Thanksgiving morning before our dinner and all the family came. Last year, I got some great deals on DVD-R and video games for 7.00 each. And it is the one day I can talk my Dad into going shopping w/ me.

They are having this sale online too...not a great selection though.
