  4. They will have Black Friday sales (confirmed with my bro who works there). He doesn't remember anything specific on sale, but says no generators.
  5. Shipping on the site is actually really good. Shipping is also free if you spend over $25. They generally ship things quickly and usually via UPS. I've always had really great service.

  7. Yes, my name is Pape (pronounced with the accent on the second sylablul (spelling not my strong suit). Came with the husband, so I don't know much about the family, but they are from Seguin TX
  8. I used the diet coke coupons at lunch today. Cashier said she had never seen them before, but notes on the bottom say print out the coupons and take to Target or SuperTarget. My very helpful cashier said that they will take the SuperTarget coupons for any item they have in stock. She also said she would have to find those coupons 'cause it is a really good deal!
  9. I will only use a specific photographer at Wal-Mart. She is the absolute best. My kids adore her, so we always take the pictures early (mid-Oct) so we are sure to get the best photogratpher and the best time for the kids. We also purchased the Photo Christmas ornament and have it back. It is very cute. Not going on the tree! (Small problem with my youngest and the tree last year - he took all the balls off the tree and smashed them into the carpet. Still finding bits.)
  10. I was just a K Mart for lunch. They had children's (Boy's size 4-12) shorts for as low as .80 a pair. Denim shorts were $1. (I buy a size bigger for next year - especially at this price!) The K-Mart I went to typically has lower prices that the local "Super K-Mart" etc.
  11. Thnaks for the coupon. I used 2 this morning (went thru the line twice). No problems ... scanned the first time.
  12. My Kindy has 5 teachers (Classroom, Music (2X /wk), Spanish (2X / wk), PE (1X/wk), and Lunch/Recess(everyday)) The 4 female teachers are getting shower gel and lotion (~10 each). The male PE teacher is getting a gift mug set(~5). His main classroom teacher is also getting a gift card to half-priced books (~35). (This is her first year as a classroom teacher and she mentioned that she wants to expand her library and the gift cards don't ever expire)
  13. My son was 4 when he got his gameboy last year. Dora's Super Star Adventure, Franklin the Turtle, Candyland/Shutes and Ladders/Memory are his favorites. I recommend looking for the Early Childhood rating..they tend to be easier to play for the little ones. I would aslo recommend the GBA Video's (several on sale right now at Circuit City - less than $5 for SpongeBob and Nicktoons titles)
  14. I was at the B&BW outlet store in Lodi OH. They are officially an outlet store and usually only carry the discontinued merchanise (at up to 75% off), but they recently got an order of current in-store stuff that is marked 25% off. (Purchased 25 items for $95) I know in the past, they have offered to ship stuff (as long as you are willing to give them a credit card number) - you must call to find out what they have. I can find the phone number if anyone is interested. B&BW has several other outlet stores in WI, CA, SC, AZ and TX (somewhere down by Houston).
  15. use coupon code HOLIDAY25 Good for entire order, but some restrictions apply
  16. I sould have to say that "Beer for Dumbies" would be my first choice for a book. I really like the "dumbies" series. If he is really into beer, you might look for a homebrew kit. I know I have seen them at Beds Bath and Beyond before. The kit allows you to brew your own beer (I think the kit comes with supplies for one batch). For some reason this really appeals to the beer guys I know!

    a frugal xmas

In reality, how do you know where your gift was purchased. I assume the only way to know where it came from is if you want the receipt to return it. My family is a little odd, we love a bargain (mom DAD and all 4 daughters) so no, I wouldn't be surprised (or upset) to discover something came from a consignment shop or thrift store (might ask them to take me to look for more bargains!). In fact, if it comes from dad, I can pretty much guess that it came from a garage sale or thrift store (and he is usually a great gift giver)
  18. membership to local zoo or other local attaction. The whole family can use it and they can go as often as they want. (especially useful for a family with smaller kiddos)
  19. Shake and Go Race cars (made by Fisher Price). They have them in Cars (Lightening, Mater, Doc etc) and off-road vehicles and all models of race cars and police cars (usually run between $9 to $14 each). Shake the cars, set them down and off they go. Very easy for kiddos to operate by themselves. (race track also available if you want to avoid the cars smacking into your walls and/or furniture)
  20. Bugsette, if you are near the Cleveland area try the Target by Parmatown mall. just off of Ridge Road. They have several. I went there on Friday and they had 4-5 (after I got mine). Thanks for the tips ladies!
