  1. Ordered 3 games this afternoon -

Super Mario Galaxy, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, & Smash Brothers Brawl.

On my confirmation receipt and as of 5:47 tonight (EST) on the TRU site, the release date for Smash Brothers is December 3rd.

I got an email stating "unfortunately, there has been a delay in the release of my pre-sale item". The product release date is now February 10th.

It's no biggie here, but I know for a lot of people it will be.

I'm still getting the one game for free and we'll have something to look forward to in February!

  2. A great big THANK YOU to whoever posted info about Halloween scrapbooking supplies being in the regular scrapbooking aisle and not in with the regular Halloween stuff.

I got lots of stuff this afternoon all at 90% off.

Papers, stickers, craft kit, make your own wreath, paint your own stamps, etc., plus 2 Leaf Garden Stakes from another area of the store.

    Total with tax was $15.41.

Gosh, I love this message board! :D

  3. Finally 90% of Halloween stuff.

Picked up 4 bags of the Child's Play candy (Tootsie Roll/Toosie Pops/Dots mix) at 59 cents each.

Also got 2 bags of the Jolly Rancher mix - 49 cents each, a bag of Smarties 17 cents, 2 pairs of fuzzy socks - 49 cents a pair, and a garden stake (leaf design) for 49 cents.

None of the candy had any kind of holiday markings on them.

    Total with tax was $5.05.

They had a rack of childrens Halloween shirts and pants that were coming up 49 cents for infants sizes and 60 cents for childrens' sizes.

Saw the Cheetah Girls dress up trunk for $4.98.

  4. Kori-

I bought things like the college ironing boards, totes, pop-up hampers/laundry baskets, a couple of dorm lamps...stuff like that. Everything was $5.00 or less-Oh, I did find the dorm "Kitchen in a Box" for $7.48, marked down from $29.99. I only bought one, because I had gotten all the other sruff already, and when I went back, the other 3 were gone. Probably will kick myself over that one in the spring!

Lol-I know what you mean about the friends!! I bet with everything I got, I still will have to figure out more stuff!

UGH! I wish all the Target stores were universal in pricing. I want that "kitchen in a box" set from Chefmate, but it is still $29.99 here! Of course I scanned it to make sure. Very frustrating.

The College '07 stuff is finally marked down to 50% - 75%, but not a whole lot left and nothing that I needed or wanted. The comforter sets were coming up $7.48.

I did get the pink silicon potholders - 2 for $1.98.

There are 3 other Target stores within 20 minutes of me, so I guess I'll be doing some traveling this weekend!

  5. Yes, I saw where it said it can take anywhere from 6-18 weeks for the subscription to begin.

Most of mine were renewals, and the prices are terrific, especially with the discount code, so I don't mind the wait - as long as they do arrive!

And I checked subscription lengths - five that I ordered are 12 issues, one is for 11 issues, and one is for 10 issues.

Just keep copies of the confirmation email and payment receipt, in case there is any problem down the road.

Fingers crossed here too. Hope it all works well out for everyone who places an order!

  6. I ordered 3 magazines from Best Deal last year for Christmas.

Cat Fancy, never arrived. I contracted them and they could not find my order. Odd thing is just the other day I got a bill for the renewal.

Make sure and keep your receipt. I wish I had kept mine.

Wow! Sorry that happened to you.

Did you get your other 2 magazines??

I have my email confirmation printed out and I will make sure I attach a copy of my CC statement with the magazine charge on it when it arrives.

    Thanks for the heads up.

  7. OMG! We have soooo much Christmas stuff. My husband had to build a loft in the garage just to hold it all........and there is still an overflow!!

We seem to have an awful lot of snowmen, so I guess we collect them as well as tree ornaments, particularly Hallmark brand. I started buying them in the late 1970's. :D

  8. Check out the Embassy Suites in Sacramento. There may be one in/near Santa Monica too.

    http://embassysuites.hilton.com.

It's around $139 per night, but it includes a complimentary cooked to order breakfast and a complimentary nightly manager's reception. They're all 2 room suites that include a refrigerator, 2 TV's, etc. I've not stayed at this particular one, but have stayed at several throughout the country. As a matter of fact, when I went to Disneyland, I stayed at the one in Anaheim.

    They are really nice hotels.

Plus if you are a AAA or AARP member, or in the Military, there's an additional discount.

    Good luck!!
