I was able to pick up a few last week... I heard that corporate was allowing each store's manager to decide on which items they wanted to put out early... sounds very strange, but I dunno.

I would be curious to know what anyone scored this year at any of the Atlanta area stores... our 1-page ad did not have anything exciting in it, so I ended up going to Micro Center instead...

I finally got my ad today and it sucks. The best deal in there was a 42" Sylvania Plasma for 698 (no tuner though)... other than that there is nothing else worth going for.

I have been using this TV for about 3 days now (granted as a computer monitor) and it's ok. The standard cable picture is ok too, for the price. There is a noticeable difference in quality of one of these vs. a Sony of course, but it makes a great bedroom or 2nd TV.

MC typically does not get too crazy for BF, and they tend to stock a lot more doorbusters than other stores. I am going about an hour before opening, and should not have a problem snagging one of each TV. :)

Yes, I did see the tree at my store, but not sure how about the rebate. Terms may state you have to buy it on BF, so you might be screwed that way.

Yes, the TVs actually started arriving at the stores on Tuesday, some as late as today depending on what part of the country you are in. The TVs were shrink-wrapped on pallets with bright pink "DO NOT SELL, RESERVED FOR BLACK FRIDAY" signs on them. Store employees in Georgia, Washington, and a few other states have mistakenly disregarded those and are selling them early. Good luck. I got my coupon on ebay.

Brand is Element Electronics, which is supposedly rebadged Polaroid or Mag. I picked up 3 last night and came to $382 each for me after using 20% off coupon.

Definitely line cutters and pushers. 2 years ago, I was in line at BB and 15 minutes before the doors opened there was a bunch of people that had just pulled into the parking lot and they all made a mad rush for the front door. In my 6 years of BF I have never seen anything like it... there must have been 40 people total that cut in front of a line of about 400 people who had been waiting all night. A huge fight followed, puches were thrown, lot's of angry yelling and pushing, all the while BB mgmt just stood by and did nothing... we were all yelling at them to call the police for crowd control and for safety due to all the puching and violence. Almost made me give up going to BF, but I am glad I stuck it out. Whew. This year I am bringing my mace and tazer... just in case.

My 3 year old son also has one and loves it... plays it all the time.
