My boys love anything NERF related (now 14 and 11) There's always target practice going on in my basement and the velcro bullets all over! What fun. There are cool Pokemon DS games out and like previous posters mentioned - just watch for sales. Legos are also big in our house.

Check clearance at Meijer's. Our's had lots of bigger sets - of course nothing that my boy's wanted - but decent mark down prices.

I snagged the Guitar Hero 5 with Guitar for the Wii - now I have to return the stand along game that I purchased for 29.99 from Amazon. Oh well...

We still do it and my boys are 13 and 10. shoes outside their bedroom door and a little candy magically appears!
