  7. I recently entered the Bissell MVP (most valuable pet photo contest) for week#10. If my photo wins, I would get a vacuum cleaner, which I need since mine broke. All you have to do is click on the link below or copy and paste into the web address. They will ask for your name and email address, but nothing is sent to you, the email is just to prevent duplication on voting. I do appreciate your time and vote, contest ends Tuesday, March 18. THANK YOU Angel is my oldest dog, she is 10, in this photo my son dressed her up, so she is supporting his t-shirt and a pair of boxers....it was the only cute picture I had. http://www.bissell.com/redirect.asp?page_id=47128&Pet=4833
  8. Best: nothing specific jumps out....maybe my dog or a large stuffed penguin.....I don't ask for much so I ususally get what I want and like it all...gifts from the heart are the best Worst: a 4ft long recycled wall calendar, couldn't write on it without it tearing and when I hung it up the months started coming off...really cheaply made......also a large coffee mug filled with perfumed soaps....don't drink coffee and allergic to the soaps.
  9. THANK YOU ALL for the ideas...there are many ideas that sound fun. I will share with the family and see which one they decide on. I was surprised to see farkle on the list...not too many people have heard of that...we play that quite often.....christmas bingo is sounding good especially for all ages...thanks again:yelclap:
  10. I need your help. On Thanksgiving, we invite my side and his side of the family over for Thanksgiving all at once to make it easier on us. Everyone brings a dish or two, we stand around talk, we eat, watch football, and we all participate in a family game, and the day is a blast. I usually have a game that all can play. Last year for example we played "Deal or No Deal" on DVD. I usually have goodie bags filled with candy, pencils, $1 or $2 items that anyone can use. Everyone that plays usually pitches in a $1 for the overall winner. However, I don't know what game to play this year. I have been looking at the stores since last year and nothing is catching my attention. Any suggestions? Thank you The youngest person to play is 13 and everyone else
  11. thanks for the idea. My mother in law mentioned these last year right b4 Christmas. This is a great idea this year. Thank you
  12. 1.) Sentence: I'll pull somekind of monkeyshines on my hubby, but when things get hinky, my luxurious negligee will make it ok. 2.) I promise to wear the shirt on BF...willing to take pictures to prove it 3.) Don't have one, thought about getting one, but winning one is so much better..thanks for the opportunity
  13. I live in Iowa and in the past everything was closed on Thanksgiving Day? I noticed over the past several years, more and more places are open on Thanksgiving Day with sale ads. Usually I am too busy that day, but if there is something on sale I have stopped and surprising the places have been busy. I was wondering if you shop on Turkey Day?
  14. I usually go by myself, but last year I went with my m-i-l. We had a blast and plan on doing it again.
  15. I am still new to this game, but had a blast last year. I ended up standing in line at 4:30am and didn't get home til around 3:00...I couldn't believe I spent over 10 hours shopping. I ended up going to about 6 different places. How long do you stay out on an average? How many stores do you usually go?
  16. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both....on Eve my stepson goes to his mom's house and opens gift from her family while by husband and I go to my parents and open gifts from them...then on X-mas day we open ours together in a relaxed mood then pig out on a breakfast casserole that has been made up the night before which is cooking when we start opening.
  17. My husband who wants everything isn't so bad, but for the 12 year old it can be difficult to find gifts they really want. Throughout the year he says he would like to have this or that but when it come right down to his b-day or Christmas time he doesn't have a clue, and when you mention the items he suggested earlier he says no. So I started to have him keep a journal. I bought a discounted small notebook and every time he wants or likes something I have him write it down. If there are items in a magazine or an ad from Sunday's paper I have him cut it with all details and tape it into the notebook. If it's clothes he writes down color or size There is a section for CD's or DVD's as well when his b-day or christmas comes around, I have him write down at least 10 or more items from his notebook and then # them in order of what he wants the most. This also helps with ideas for family members what to give him so there are no duplicates. I myself had started this since I never can think of anything as well and many other family members have too. I also keep a list of ideas that other people mention they would like to have and many times I surprise them because it wasn't on there list and they forgot all about it just an idea I thought I would share to help with difficulty gift giving
  18. Sounds like most of us got what we wanted with a few extra surprises.
  19. Santa was good for me. I got a few Penguin collectibles and a movie collection I have been wanting. I also rec'd a memory foam mattress pad and a new set of pots and pans. Did you get what you wanted. Hopefully so.
  20. Wasn't too bad here. Went to father in laws for cinnamon rolls, came back and had our Christmas, mother in law came over and played games. Then off to my parents for supper. It wasn't bad at all.
  21. ripped to shreds here, a few boxes saved. I have too much wrapping paper, enough to last at least the next 5 years or so
  22. I would personally that mine down around new years, however my hubby's family always took it down the day after Christmas. So, I am in the middle of taking decorations, etc.. down now. Just felt like taking a break and now I am here.
  23. I would says JCPenny or Sears. TJ Max has some good ones too.
  24. My furry children get gifts and special treats too. They have gifts from Santa paws, gift bags with toys and treats in them. I also give them a special meal...usually there normal cup of dog food and then a can of moist dog food. They love it and it's gone is seconds. I usually do these for special holidays throughout the year.
  25. I am getting started. I did a few gifts on Sunday and ordered 1 online Monday. Will be going out today if I can ever drag myself off the website and finishing up tomorrow. Last minute gift on Sunday at Best Buy for the 50% off HBO DVD/DVD sets. Wrap as I go.
