Unions are a wonderful thing. My dad was a union carpenter. He retired with a full pension,. We had full medical growing up, eyecare, dental, etc. with no worried. Pay was good, he retired making around 25.00 an hour. He got my husband in the union when we got married 28years ago. We have annuities on top of the retirement benefits in the tens of thousands that will pay out when my husband retires in 4 years at age 56. Pay is now at 31.00 an hour. My husband works all year, the union is a wonderful thing.

I got one too. I read a news report that they were doing awful and even their own shareholders didn't like the new flagship they were trying to get to pass. THey said it would take years to get it going and meanwhile they were losing all their budget customers. They said they didn't care as the shoppers they lost who looked for sales and deals weren't the ones they wanted any longer. They wanted the high end shoppers that shopped at boutiques.

I needed the 6-12 months. 6pm had the purple one in a 6-12 months for 32. with free shipping. Thanks anyway. I won't buy on ebay, most of them are pirated. I discovered that lst year while looking for one for my daughter. I know north face is excluded in most coupons. My daughter wanted one last year. I ended up buying from Sunny sports. THey are a dealer. I bought a 150.00 jacket for 90. I was told to always call and ask for an inhouse price. They can't be stopped from doing that. Also if a store has a coupon that says all apparel, like gamemasters, here where I live. I was told you can go to the physical store and get it on sale.

Mine was favorite item in a care package

Wow, they sell by the foot here. A 6 footer is around 20.00 a 10 footer is about 30.
-
Its not new. Its last years model with a reduced price. Im on the amazon kindle forums every day. Same kindle with a little upgraded processor. Nothing else about it is new. Same operating system as the one sold last month

There is no NEW 160 kindle fire. The old one is now 150, but the new ones start at 199. You wont find them on sale from amazon and I would never buy a kindle from anyone else. The tax alone negates any sale price

It was always tradition in our house for the kids to go cut one down. THey would have been appalled to have an artificial one. It was the same when I grew up. THe last few years, my last kid at home balked when it came time to go cut a tree, it was always deer season the week I wanted to go get one. My husband wouldn't do it, I had to go myself. I got nothing but complaints on the tree I chose. My son would go and not like any tree I picked. We don't have much room, I want short and skinny. Last year, they kept asking where the rest of the tree was. We has about a 6 foot tree. It looked nice I thought. After xmas I went to kmart when the trees were 75% off and they had tons. I got the display model of the rotating tree since it was only 10.00 more than the one that didn't rotate. I paid 75.00 for it. It was a 300.00 tree. I just hope it fits in my living room. It's 71/2 foot tall. LOL. The box alone is 7 foot long and takes 2 people to carry. It has the hinge system. My mom keeps hers put together and sits it in her basement with a tree bag over it. IF I was getting artificial. it wasn't going to be a cheapy that looks artificial. I got a nice one.

It's not that simple. You have to sideload it and it's harder than it sounds. We stick with amazon at our house. YOu don't get the free month of Prime if you have ever had it before. We have 2 kindles in our house , but had prime the year before with my free prime trial, we got nothing, it's only for new prime members. I still stick with amazon and am getting my daughter a kindle this year.

My kids have always went with me. SImply because my mom is the only person I leave them with and she comes too. I never had a problem. I don't go where the huge crowds are. My kids saved their money in anticipation of deals. I see nothing wrong with it.

Amazon sales on Black Friday or Holiday Season?
peppysfireball replied to dakotadenise's topic in 2012
Walmart is no longer carrying kindles though. It was announced a few days ago. -
Are you planning on spending more or less on Christmas this year?
peppysfireball replied to ChristmasShopping's topic in 2012
I grabbed 2 of those Pandigital tablets for my grandkids 2 weeks ago when they showed up on here as a new walmart markdown. I had bought my grandson one in April as a refurbished one sale a day offer. My grandson loved. it. Be sure and get the 5.00 accident insurance. My grandson broke his pretty quick and he is 10. My own kids are getting fires, I wouldn't buy these for my own kids, but they were good presents for my grandkids. Cnet gave them very good reviews. IT said they were the best of the low price tablets. My youngest has a fire and loves it, I knew my grandson would love a tablet. Our school is switching over entirely to tablets next year, my grandkids school already is, so my 6 and 8 year old granddaughters are thrilled to get tablets for xmas. But they said they have to have skins with hearts on them, they don't want plain white tablets, so I'm buying decalgirl skins and pretty cases. My husband is in construction and has been off work about 5 weeks now, but I have a xmas club with about 800 in it to use on my kids big gifts, I pick up the small stuff on the side. I will spend the same probably. I refuse to skimp on xmas. I have a new baby granddaughter and she's getting a new carseat and some gorgeous clothes. -
My grandkids all asked for tablets. Walmart marked the 139.00 Pandigital tablet down to 49.00 so I grabbed enough of them for all the small grandkids. 6,8,and 10 . they want skins and cases for them and I will get more monster high stuff for the 3rd year. Cnet gave it the best reviews of the inexpensive tablets. I've got a new grandbaby, no ideas for her yet. SHe's only 2 months. My son is buying the wii u himself, he wants nothing but games. My duaghter 23 wants a kindle. No ideas on my oldest son 27.

My son preordered the deluxe set on friday from best buy. It said they were sold out, but he had put one in our cart last week and when we tried, it let us check out with it .
-
Yes. they always do. Its been Jan 31 the last 2 years
-
Wonder why it says the WII U is not yet priced. My son has had his preordered since last week from Best Buy . He ordered the Deluxe set at 349. The only set on walmart for preorder was a bundle at 399.

I would stay away from Nook simply because of customer service. If you go on the Nook forums, you hear nothing but complaints. Barnes and Noble do not help at all. Amazon has the best customer service out there. They replaced my kindle twice in the first month I had it when I broke the screen. THe go above and beyond what they have to. If your kindle is out of warranty and it breaks or you damage it, call them anyway, they ALWAYS either offer you a low cost replacement of some kind or give you a break of some kindl. I have seen them send a free kindle to someone who has been out of warranty a long time. My son says his kindle fire is the best xmas present he ever got in his whole life. He is 15. I am getting my 23 dd one this year. It's best to ignore all the other big box stores offers on the kindles also, if you buy from them, you follow their return polices. If you buy from amazon, if it's a xmas gift, you have until January 31 to return it if you are unhappy with it or have a problem.

ACcording to the post on amazon forums, no tablet or phone at all will carry flash.
-
If you are wanting flash, You are SOL for any tablet. It was posted this week on the amazon kindle forums that flash has ended their applications on all tablets and phones, so no new devices will carry flash and all old devices will no longer have flash support. As for the camera on the new kindle, it is a front facing camera for skype. We don't know yet, if it will do photos. FOr the poster wanting to know about bundling. Amazon does not do that. Once in a while, the amazon customers who have kindles with special offers will be offered a deal with maybe 40 off a new kindle, but amazon NEVER bundles kindles with accessories.
