Hmm.. I am confused now. I thought the generator was NOT part of Target at all. I thought it was something someone or another forum set up so we could make mulitple coupons. If the generator is a true Target site then I am even more mad cause those are the coupons they are now telling me are fraud. I didnt want to tell them about the generator site because I didnt think it was theirs. Anyone know for sure?
I think you're right...I think that's what I remember someone saying before, that the generator is NOT part of Target...in fact, I think I remember someone getting upset that another GDer mentioned it to a Target employee when they refused to take her coupon for something...that was a couple of months ago, and I think it was on the Target PP thread...

OK, after seeing what I've seen, I have to agree that it looks like Planet Heroes will be very popular this season...just saw them in Target on Saturday for the first time, and bought ds Ace...they had every character available, some of them there were more than one. Well ds gave up his binkies, so we let him "buy" a toy with them, and so we went to get Rings from Planet Heroes...luckily, they still had him, but out of the 11 characters available, there were only six different ones left! And this is only THREE DAYS after I first saw them!! Thankfully I got ds Ace when I saw them, since there were no more of him left!

It depends on what he's into...I have two boys, one 3 1/2, and the other about to turn 2 in two weeks, and they are polar opposites when it comes to what they like! My oldest loves ANYTHING, he is a toy nut, and can find something to do with anything he's given, even if it's only a piece of a toy! My youngest, on the other hand, is very easily distracted, and there is not much that holds his interest for any length of time. He LOVES animals, so we are doing a farm animal theme for his birthday, but as far as gifts, we are totally at a loss! He will get a tricycle, since his brother has a bike, too, but for Christmas, we will be stuck. He likes trucks, and LOVES ride-on toys, so that would be my suggestion. He's forever riding a little Nemo ride-on that his brother got for his second birthday. He likes pushing trucks around on the floor, too, so he will probably be getting some trucks/cars for Christmas...oh, he likes trains, too, so we may add to the boys' Thomas the Tank collection.

Lots of toys at 75% here, but some still only 30%...got the last V.Smile Shrek game for $4.xx (ages 6-8)...there is an age 4-6 on they have out now...also got some Dora beanbag and darts thing (large), for 50% off, for $9.xx. Still had some Play Wonder stuff, some dinosaur thing, wooden eggs and spoons, foam blaster, and silly sprinklers...pretty much picked over, for the most part...ds was happy though, since they've started with the new toy lines, and are now stocking Planet Heroes!

Yeah, FP sent DS the DVD for the planet heroes a few weeks ago, and he was enthralled. I thought it was rather cool that signing up on their site for emails and stuff got him such a cool freebie.
I've been keeping a lookout for them, but so far no dice.
Check out Target...they must've just gotten them in...we bought ds Ace today...he will get others from Santa!

Fisher Price Planet Heroes
Ooh, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's child wants them!

I haven't really liked their clothes lately and I was a 100% gymbo mom. I like Pumpkin Patch better now.
Never heard of it...what is it?

I imagine most feel pretty stupid, but I'm sure there are those that still feel justified because their kids had them first and they were able to put them under the tree. My kids were/are young enough they really don't know the difference, but they sure were excited getting an unexpected surprise in January when we found them at Wal-mart. I was still not thrilled with spending the $35 on the stupid thing though. I can't even begin to imagine paying more than that.
I paid $35 and STILL had them under the tree...almost only had one (got one for my boys, and one for my nieces), but as it got closer to Christmas, they became easier to find...ordered one online, and then the second one was about one of eight on an endcap at Target maybe a week before the holiday...people who'd pay $400 for one of them (or for any regularly priced $35 toy) are insane! I'm sorry, I love my kids more than life itself, but what does it teach them if you'll pay unrealistic prices for a TOY they want, when they can wait until another time (ie., birthday, good report card, etc.) and you can buy it at a reasonable price? And if you're going to go to those lengths when your child is that young, you are in for a world of trouble when they become a teenager and want the "IT" thing...just my 2 cents...

I had problems with some PM at WM last year. They would not PM any BOGO or % off sales
This is standard with every Wal-Mart I have ever shopped in...

I only shop their clearance racks, and even then, sometimes their prices are too high. I had some Gymbucks that expired on the 29th of July, and with them, I got some of the 4th of July collection t-shirts, and then planned to get the matching swimsuits online, since they didn't have my kids' sizes in the store...they were $11.99 during that time, on clearance. On the 31st of July, when I went to order them online, they didn't have them in stock any longer...I called five Gymboree stores, and one here had one in one size I needed, and then one in York had the other size I needed, so I was able to get them both on August 1, and they were then $9.99 each. I think that's probably where they would've bottomed out, truthfully.
ETA...their prices were the same in-store and online, at least at the time I was planning to purchase these and the matching shirts, prior to July 31st...

I got mine last Friday...very cool! My oldest ds is only going to be 4 in January, so I will probably save it for him for next Christmas, and since it retails for $50 and I got it for $12, he's the ONLY one who's going to get it! I've got other good stuff for nieces and nephews, so I'm saving this for him...
-
Ooh, thanks! I'll have to check it out! I've got a few, but since I just got my Cricut a few months ago and don't really have time to play with it, I haven't bothered to pick up too many yet...

Toledo, OH V.Smile pockets are $19.98.
Oh I'm soooooooooo jealous!! Not a single one to be found anywhere around here...

I guess I'm missing something but I don't understand all the interest in the toys. My Target has mostly junky toys and the few good toys are going fast without the 75 off. Does all of your Targets have really good toys on clearence that mine doesn't. Maybe I should try another Target.
I personally don't see all that much that even if it goes to 75%, that I HAVE to have...some of it, I've gotten at 50% off, because I figure it might not be there at 75%, and some my kids already have, and some I couldn't care less about, as my kids don't want it, need it, or are too young for it...but at times, they REALLY have some good stuff go to 75%, and while my kids may not "need" what everyone else is waiting to go to 75% for, there may be stuff others do! So, I guess there's not really anything worth waiting for at my Target, either...It just stinks that all Targets can't seem to be on the same markdown schedule, so when it happens at one Target, it happens at ALL Targets, kwim?

There was one sand and water table left here, though only 30% off...plus, I want the one with the cover, so I'll have to wait and see if I can find one of them somewhere...did score a frog humidifier for $7.xx, originally $29.99! Got a couple of other things, but no great deals, other than that...bulk diapers and wipes (including Pampers) here were 15% off...
-
Went to one of the targets I visit and the only thing I saw was that the 30% had gone to 50%. I checked w/the lady who does toy markdowns and she said she had already done the toys (she was marking down lingerie at that time, btw, which I did pick up some good buys there). I did find that wagon that sits two and has a place for their cups. I can't remember the name but it was for $14.98.
That's an awesome deal! I got that for ds three BFs ago, and it was $45 then, and I've never seen it for less than that!

My best friend and I were just discussing BF and how much we can't wait. I started shopping b/c Target had alot of the toys 30-60% off when I was there last week and I got my DS a train table for just 55 and some change. I cannot wait for BF this year, we are adding another stop to our day this year
HEY! I wonder how many times I've passed YOU in the Target toys aisle! We were there yesterday, only to be disappointed, since nothing new was marked down, and still not 75% off!
-
Thanks for posting this! I received the newsletter, but somehow overlooked this part of it...
-
I also saw Bratz Fruit Snacks for $.57!
WOW! Ours were still $2.xx here!
-
No additional markdown here on toys, either...I won't bother to check again, since the only thing I wanted was the V.Smile Pocket, and those are all gone...I bought a Buckaroo game and Toy Story Woody with Wheezy a month or so ago, when they were 50% off, but for the extra couple of bucks, I'm not going to drag myself and the kids out first thing in the morning to see if they've gone 75%...
I did get a Graco booster seat for $9.xx, and they had the Graco Callista pattern travel system on clearance for $69.xx, which I might have picked up if I was positive we were going to have one more child, since our Evenflo infant carrier has been recalled, and I think it expires in January anyway...saw other big booster seats for 50% off, which is definitely a good deal!
-
For those of you have done the 75% off on toys in years before, do you remember if the markdowns were done by the time they are open? Or have you encounter that sometimes they'll be marking down sometime during the day, perhaps mid-morning? Thanks for any info. :)
The first year I caught it (two years ago), I was pg with ds #2, and just happened to go in there before my ob appt that day, and they were marking things as I (and many others), walked the aisle...my appts were always around 11, so this would've been around 10 or so...
-
I was in the Chesapeake VA store, It looks like more toys went on clearance a few things are down to 50% off but not many. I really want to catch it at 75% off. I plan to stop in whenever I can. The things I am interested in are the v-Smile Pocket, anything Polly Pocket, Knex, I know there is more but my brain is to tired to think. What items are you hoping to pick up or does it matter?
I wanted the V.Smile Pocket, but they only went down 30%, and as of last Wednesday, there was only one left, when before the weekend, there had been five...so I'm not counting on getting that last one, in fact it's probably already gone, but I will go scout out on Wednesday anyway...

We got DD4 on last Christmas and she loves it. She uses it a lot and it is easy for her to operate. My older DD dowloaded stuff on it for me it works great. Problems the cushions on the headphones do not stay on and it eats batteries.
We got ds one for Easter, and he LOVES it...and as far as eating batteries, we use rechargables!

I did see them at a Target in St Louis today for $39.98. So they are now 50% some places. Found my other receipt in case they go any lower! I noticed the regular V-Smile systems were also 50%. I hope they aren't going to stop making the games for these. My kids were just old enough to get one for Christmas and they LOVE it.
Ooh, thanks for the tip...I will check them out on Wednesday to see if they've gone any lower...I just got the system for my kids for Christmas too, but they have a million games by now, so even if they stopped making them, my kids are still set for a couple of years!
And that's part of the reason I want the pocket one, so they can take it with them and use it more often!
Who do you shop with on BF?

My sister and I go...last year, her boyfriend went for the first time, and he LOVED it! We have our mom and dad watch her kids, and my dh takes our kids to his parents', since he won't go out, and I spend the night at my sister's. We take two (or three) vehicles, depending on our game plan, and we usually end up at different stores, getting whatever we want, so I'll pick up stuff for her, and she'll get stuff for me, so neither one of us slows the other down, and we know exactly what we are after. I even cased a couple of places last year ahead of time to see where things were going to be, to make it a little bit easier (though you can't do that with Wal-Mart, since the pallets are wrapped, and most not out yet)...it was good her bf came last year, because she had a TON to get in W-M, and having him there helped her get it all! We are constantly in contact by phone to tell each other what we got/didn't get (though it's very rare that we don't get what we went for...though we don't ever go to BB or CC), and at some point, usually after all of the doorbusters are over, and the rest of the world is awake and out shopping, we meet up...we are usually out and done and back home by 10 or 11...
OOOH, I'm excited just talking about it!!
