The Childrens Place had some nice stuff this year, I was really impressed! Usually I get thier dresses from Gymboree but not this year. I take all my own photos so I don't need to worry about getting them done early but I can't drag my feet too long as I like to send out my cards by the first week in December!!

I was tossing around the same thing in my head for my 6 year old. Ive decided on the leapster. Besides the fact that its cheaper, lol...a friend of mine has it for her daughter and she loves it!!

I do a lot at the sales and a lot with gymbucks! I find that with sales, the stuff isn't a lot more than some of walmart stuff ~ and holds up better plus I can sell it when Im done with it!

One year it was all red and white, one it was all blues and white..not sure this year!

We usually just do lights around the house and garage and then candy canes around our tree...that's it.

Mine are usually just in my room. The kids don't bother them.

I wouldn't leave my mom alone either! Try to take her with you or like everyone else said, she if you can do it at your house. Or see if someone on your husbands side can do it on Christmas Eve!

The year that I was pregnant with my first, I got a video camera, that was great and then 2 years ago, I got a new engagement ring (we are married but my first engagement ring was a family heirloom and it was too big and I hated to wear it in fear of losing it) so he bought me a new one and that year I also got my mother's ring. It has 2 intertwined hearts with my girls' birthstones and thier names engraved on it.

On my husbands side, we all buy for everyone (except we don't buy for his sister and she doesn't buy for us, that was mutual between us 4)..but other than that, we buy for everyone since the family is small. For my family, I have 3 siblings, we all buy for eachother and the kids (there are 3 of them) and my mom of course. When it comes to my extended family, we all buy for grandma and then we buy for the new babies in the family (this year there are 3) then the kids (high school and younger) pick names and buy for that person only. We used to all buy for everyone and with a family of close to 40, that was insane!!!!!!!!!
