I absolutely love this site. I check in randomly throughout the year, but I am only pretty much several times a day around the holidays ever since I found you in 2005. If I may offer for suggestion, I don't like the part of your new contest for posting the "most" online deals. I am seeing so many things that are not deals but just people trying to beat each other out for the most posts. The other day, I ended up posting to a few of them where the same item was on Amazon for less (and elig. for super saver shipping which brought it down more). I think there are so many great things here, I am just frustrated that people are losing sight of the concept of posting a great deal rather than just any item they can find (even at full price) just to get the highest post count. Thanks for at least listening.

I have not bought 1 single gift yet. I don't gift to many people as I've really cut back after having a few bad financial years in a row. While we are doing okay I am going to keep going with my trimmed down Christmas list. I hit up a few places yesterday and today (plus lots of looking online) and I am so nervous the prices will get better that I am not buying anything yet. Last year was one of the worst financial years we've ever had and I honestly didn't know if we'd be able to buy anything for our son. Thankfully he was old enough to understand. Anyhow, I was able to really pull the budget tight for Nov & Dec and I found so many deals the 2nd and 3rd weeks of December he ended up with almost as many gifts as usual. Now this year I could start buying but I don't like the prices I am seeing. Is anyone else waiting to see if they can find a better deal?

I was a fence sitter this year myself. I have, however, decided I will go. Mostly because it's the 1 day a year that me and my sister do something together. This will be our 18th year doing this, and I am going solely for that reason. The last 3 years I have not spent more than $20.00. I also really, really dislike the midnight openings. We used to get up and leave around 4am and not get home until 3pm. After hitting up the 10pm TRU sale last year then to Walmart, we were just so darn tired. We were home by 6am. We gave up. Plus we spent a good portion of that time waiting in line just to get into TRU (I think it was just about 3 hrs to make it in the building). Now I expect the crowds and all, but a little over 5 hours in 1 store was the worst I've ever done. Oh well, this could be the last year. Especially if they keep pushing the opening times earlier and earlier (or should I say later and later on Thanksgiving day at the rate they are going).

I really just want to some new clothes. New clothes makes me so happy!!

We have 7 adults and 3 kids for dinner usually (3 of those adults are big eaters). Anyhow, there is usually 2 pumpkin pies, then 2-3 other desserts in addition. The pumpkin pies are huge too. My mother orders them and they serve between 10-12 nice size pieces. It's funny because even though it seems my mother goes way overboard every year with the cooking (Thanksgiving is always hosted by her), my husband and I spend Wednesday before Thanksgiving making a smaller version of her Thanksgiving dinner so we have left overs here for the weekend. There just never seems to be that many at her place.
