  1. Mine was 2 years ago. DH, DD and I stood outside Sears for the $10 GC they were giving out. It was a nice quiet line, we were maybe around the 25th in line so guarunteed the GC's. Behind us were two young women, college age maybe. One of them asked to see my Target Ad. As I was talking to her, comparing shopping strategies, her friend started coughing. Then gagging. Then bending over holding her stomach. Then, throwing up. All. Over. Me. It was on my shoes, jeans, spattered on my jacket, my handbag, ads, etc etc etc. This was a Linda Blair/Exorcist spew. It smelled, it had chunks and it just kept coming. Her friend quickly moved her so I was no longer in the line of fire, but it was too late. There was more on me than on the pavement. Others attempted to help me and her clean up. Luckily I live in Florida, so could shed my jacket and not freeze plus I had some gym shorts in the car along with some flip flops. After changing I got back in line with a now very amused family, shivering (still chilly) looking very out of place in my "summer" clothes while everyone else was dressed for "fall". The girls got themselves cleaned up also and we all got our GC's. Afterward, I did manage to make my trip to Target before having to rush home and shower.
  2. 4AM - Penney's. Not to bad of a crowd, got a snowglobe and some jeans for DD. **Back home to get hubby for the Target round.** 5:15 - We were about 40th in line. Employees were outside answering questions, letting us know where everything was located. By 5:55 people started coming from other areas in the mall to jump into line at Target, but they had employees and security out to prevent. 6AM - Hubby and I separated in Target and get everything on our list: Hannah Montana dolls Guitar Hero III PS2 bundle Acoustic Guitar Assorted DVD's Microwave Assorted clothes $4.50 toaster and crockpot We were in and out. Electronics was a mess, but hubby dealt with those items. He's on a high from the Dallas Cowboy win so he's pretty easily manipulated right now. 6:30 - GameStop Playstation 2 console for 129.99 plus you rec'd a $30 giftcard. Turned around and used the $30 GC for: 3 PS2 Games (B2G1) 3 DS Games (B2G1) 7:00 - Walgreens Wrapping paper, bows, ribbon, etc. 7:30 home. Going to continue the manipulation later and talk him into checking out Walmart. The stores around here have been awesome so far. Our Gamestop is really tiny so it was crowded with only 5 people in there. The poor guy had opened at 5AM and immediately sold out of the Wii's, people were coming in at 7am expecting to waltz in and get one. Then they get pissy towards the clerk for not having any. Good times.
  3. Sweet! My list is complete. Thanx!!
  4. Just got back. Actually a pretty pleasant experience and no wait for cutting. As usual I spent more than intended, but have lots of fleece for several gifts/projects I am doing.
  5. I took $400 in cash. Came home with around $40. I'm pleased with myself for never breaking out a cc or debit card. Now I'm going to spend the remaining amount at Joann's.
  6. Walmart: Cabbage Patch Newborn - 1 Mermaid Barbie - 1 Girls Bike - 1 Girls jeans - 2 Uno Attack - 1 Got there about 4:15. Everything I needed was out and I could put it in my cart, just couldn't check out until 5. A friend was there at 12:30AM for a laptop. She was 18th in line and the store only had 15. She stuck around and got her camera at 5 though. Target: Several DVD's Cadoo Game $16 Lexmark printer Target was awesome. This store has only been open a month. They were giving small cups of hot apple cider (Starbucks in store) to the people in line. One of the managers was going down the line explaining where everything was located. We were in and out in 15 min. They had plenty of stock too. JC Penney: (Out of snowglobes ) Hoodies for 60% off. Now I'm going to shop a little online.
  7. I got the Orlando Sentinel. No Sears, CC or Michaels. No Walmart, but rec'd it in the mail yesterday.
  8. I'm more excited about Joann's on Saturday. $1.96 fleece! I have enough computers, electronics, etc. We are going for a more traditional handmade Christmas. I'll be at Walmart tomorrow for a Cabbage Patch. DD never asked for one, so no big loss if I don't get it. I like the competition!
  9. Walmart...then Target (right next door).

Joann's has the ad on their website now. Luckily the fleece is on sale Saturday so I get 2 days of standing in line early!
