I know phoenix (tempe) is offering a table and 4 chairs for $69 (usually $99 for the table and $25 for each chair) and are also offering free breakfast all weekend (8-11am Friday and 9-11am Sat. and Sun.)
  2. Most should be thursday (except in cases where there is no thursday paper) but I was told that compusa's will be in wednesdays... best to plan on getting Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday's if you want to see all the deals in print.
  3. The top left corner states to see the back for the Friday 7 hour sale, see inside for delas good thursday through saturday (in other words the inside is still good thursday night so if there is something in there you like get in line thursday) and elsewhere on the front page sates this page has the deals that is only valid thursday night. To me the inside wasn't bf worthy so its not worth the wait on thursday and there were too few thursday only options to make it worth while unless they pay us for our time spent in line.
  4. This ad is so bad I almost think it has to be fake as there is not more than one or two items that would make anyone go Thursday or Friday... most of the prices seem to be their normal prices with the exception of the $200 off with phone offer which isn't worth it (unless you happen to need a new phone and service) The door busters probably are about right but that $200 offer should be for all weekend making the door busters not worth going for... the "free" items with phone purchase (unless you can get them all free (but I think it states one offer) might make the phone offer attractive but not just one of them. If they happened to have some good prices for the weekend sale, it might be worth going thursday night to make sure you get what you want but all the prices are normal prices so where is the incentive to go and if there is none why bother to open early on either dayas everyone should just order online today.
  5. I vote for none of the above too... they don't have time to be helpful
  6. I've had many rebates several years ago not honored because I stapled the UPC... even though it says attach, often the fine print will state do not staple ... as a result, I will use one piece of tape (unless it states do not tape) or a paperclip (though I agree that a staple on the photocopy clearly shows it was attached so one would think a staple would be better) I was told that many in many rebate houses the employees are told to remove (and throw away) anything stapled to the document as they can’t have it stapled As for the rebate receipt problem, I come across that often so on deals that require items purchased on the same receipt, fry's usually gives me a photocopy of the original receipt stamped (several times) stating that it is an original invoice or something stating it was a proper original receipt for a rebate... and told to use that for the fry's portion of the rebate and it has always been honored. If the items are not purchased together I usually do separate transactions but often (I think depending on price) this creates another problem of them needing additional information for the credit card ... for some reason the same card can't be used on consecutive purchases without an imprint with signature on each subsequent purchase... I was told it was for two reasons, if the purchase price was the same... people were claiming with their credit card companies that they were charge twice. The second reason given was it was to protect against the next person in line using your card if for some reason it wasn't handed back to you or you just left it on the counter... either way with today’s identity theft and dumpster diving, I am always weary that the multi part manual credit card slip they use for the imprint will somehow get misused. It wouldn't be a problem if they took amex as then I would have another 2-3 cards to use.
