My daughter's bday in March 7th, so I'm thinking about taking her that weekend. She's been wanting a doll for a long time, but keeps changing her mind on which one. I called the Chicago store, and they said that they sold all the varieties there - including the just-like-me ones. I thought it would be better to take her there to pick it out than guessing what she wants and ordering it. She doesn't know that we're going yet (it's a bday surprise), but I'm really excited to go there with her and see her face. Of course, my pocketbook may regret it!

I'm thinking about taking my seven-year old to the American Girl store in Chicago to pick out her first American Girl doll. I was planning on doing one of their packages - Day at the American Girl Place - where you get lunch or dinner for 2 in the cafe, photo sessions, matching child/doll t-shirts and $130 spending money. I was wondering if anyone had done this "package" or had any experiences/comments that would help make this first trip extra special for her. We plan on having a mommy/daughter day for her birthday, so I want it to be kinda special. :)

I'm new to the American Girl website. Where do you enter the code at? I was afraid to put in my credit card information before I saw the total with the code. Is it before or after this step?

Is this in stores as well? Anyone know how the pj sizes run? I'd like to get a pair for my DD. Wish you could return them to the stores if the sizes are wrong.

TJ Maxx carries these in their B&M store? If so, I'll have to check it out.:)

I checked our local Walmart supercenter. They only have a bin of $19xx games - not one for $10:( Good find for those who are able to snag one.

I can't find the DS at that price. Did I miss it?

For those of you who own one, how much DS stuff can it hold? Can it hold several games, game system, charger, headphones, etc. or is it really on for a couple of games and game system only? I bought my 10 yr old DS one of the Pokemon DS for Christmas with case this year and thought this could be a great addition. But I don't want it to be too small. Any input is greatly appreciated.:)

The picture looks like an Ipod but the description says its a "Fushion 8GB Nano". I don't think it's an actual Ipod.

This is a really fun game. Don't let the "jr." fool you - all the adults in our family play it. I did see it at our local WalMart in the clearance section for about the same price - FYI.

Any idea what the games are going to be? Wii or DS (or both)?

My DD and I saw Raven at a concert a couple of years ago. I was very impressed with her. I thought that she was a very good performer and role model for DD. She was so professional and poised that I had to remind myself that this was a kid. My DD loved the concert and I found new respect for this singer/actress.

I bought a clearance Npower Avatar card to see if it would play in my DD Creative Zen. It didn't work. I thought it might work since the Zen uses SD cards for memory expansion. I wonder if you have to have a special software/operating system to use them.

Our local Dillards is going out of business as of June 1st. I don't know if this is isolated to this particular store or if Dillards is closing multiple stores.
