  1. Yeah...me too. About 350 I love being in the country!
  2. Don't some satellite companies not carry local channels? Just something to think about. We used to have Direct TV and had to get an antennae for locals.
  3. Who wouldn't want to be a personal shopper!! That would be awesome. Love to shop+spending someone elses money=a job I actually like!
  4. I am getting DH and I a flat screen at WM for $194!! Everything else, gifts. I think....I should wait until I see the target ad!!
  5. I guess what I meant to say is...If you are willing to pay someone $20 to go to Walmart to get a Gameboy SP for a savings of $20, then whats the point? You can go online and get just about anything you want if you don't want to face the crowds and money is not an object?
  6. kind of defeats the purpose of saving all that $$ if your paying someone to do it for you??
  7. 2 words for you Brad...LOVE IT!

Not sure about BB, but I bought online with Circuit City last year on Thanksgiving and picked up on BF when I got done with all my early bird specials. It was wonderful!!
  9. I have to say I enjoyed it and hope to join you again next week.
  10. The Weebles are too cute, Weebles wobble but they don't fall down! Everything old is new again. Care Bears, Cabbage Patch, My Little Pony, and Star Wars. These are all toys I played with when I was young!
  11. I just got a "$20 off $100 or more" card from Old Navy good until December 24. I am not sure if it's because I registered on their website or because I have an ON card?
  12. I bought my daughter Amazing Ally about the year she came out. Unfortunately DD was too young to appreciate the doll, but the reason I got it was because TRU had it clearanced in March for 19.99. If she REALLY wants it go for it--It's Christmas. If she just saw it and casually said, I want it, I would hold off. Might be a great (and cheap)Easter gift.
  13. I think it all depends on what your priorities are. I will start @ Walmart, an then head to Target and then either Meijer or Circuit City depending on what the ads say.
  14. I am with MissyJane...the lists go on and on. We usually start with a $$ amount each year (usually around $200 each) and then look at what everybody has. Since there are 3 kids (10, 8, & 5) we look and make sure it's not too lopsided and try to even out. We too generally get one "big ticket" item per child or even a shared gift and then fill in with under $30 gifts.
  15. Hey that's not far from me! I am in Bourbon County. Thanks
  16. That's cute...I've never heard that! -Wendy
  17. I have 3 children DD is in K she has 2 teachers DS is in 3rd (but is in 2/3 classroom) he switches between 3 classrooms, DS is in 5th and is in Special Ed for many classes, 5 teachers that would be 10 teachers! "$30 for a school teacher" That does seem a bit pricey, I do donate classroom items throughout the year, especially to the Special Ed teachers because they do not have "homeroom" students and don't get the benefit of the beginning of the school year blitz of supplies brought in. ALOT of my children's teachers seem very young (under 30) and I have been buying Clearance christmas items after christmas and save them for the next year to give. It takes many years to accumulate many Christmas items for decoration. Alot of the teachers have commented on how they were never able to afford to buy decorations and gifts at the holidays and were very appreciative!

    Where Is Target ?

I am with you on this one!! Target is holding out on us!
  19. My daughter got one for her 4th birthday, but she also has 2 older brothers and watches them play so it was not a hard transition from PS2 to GB adv. I say if he is already playing Video games, he would love GB!
  20. ONE thing??? Hmmm....WOW that's hard. A night out for Hubby and me--dinner and a movie. UHG! that's two, does that count? EDIT: tessangel posted as I was typing--great minds think a like!
  21. I guess if it HAD to be for me, I would go get my hair and nails done and maybe something "sassy" from Victoria Secret (that way it's for DH too). I am not used to spending a whole lot of $$ on myself. Wendy
  22. I am an ex-walmart employee also. Actually I used to be the toy department manager. We start ordering extra stock on toys starting in late august and fill the risers (over head shelves) and even leased trailers to place our back stock in. Basically, because all of Walmart stores get there stock from Wamart distrubution centers every WM is competing with every other WM to get sufficient stock to last through the holidays. Usually by late October you could order toys until you are blue in the face and you will get nothing.
  23. First post here so I'll start with a quick "hello". Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has any experiences to share with this brand. Asking this because I was going to go to HH Gregg and buy a 3 DVD/VCR combos for $78 and they are Toshiba. I know and like toshiba, but am not familiar with Symphonic.
