What items are you hoping for BF deals on this year?
speeddiva replied to magickallight's topic in 2021
It’s a laptop year for us. Mine is 10 years old and I’m tired of DHs complaining about it. -
I bought one of these at a flea market, but this one is cuter because it has an umbrella. The little kids love to watch the squirrels eat. Wooden Squirrel Picnic Table Feeder https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08T14DSGX/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_KJ3R8RTG9NSHC4M7316E

I think someone posted this in last year’s thread. They are our new favorite and so versatile. Try adding different liquors to the frostings for an adult tray. Bonbons 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 2/3 cup powdered sugar 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 package (7- or 8-oz size) almond paste Vanilla Bonbon Frosting 1 cup powdered sugar 1 1/2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla Chocolate Bonbon Frosting 1 oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted and cooled 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons milk 1 teaspoon vanilla Steps 1 Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, beat all bonbon ingredients except almond paste with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon, until dough forms. 2 Cut almond paste into 1/4-inch slices; cut each slice into fourths. Shape 1-inch ball of dough around each piece of almond paste. Gently roll to form ball. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. 3 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set and bottom is golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. 4 For vanilla frosting, in small bowl, stir all Vanilla Bonbon Frosting ingredients until smooth. 5 For chocolate frosting, in small bowl, stir all Chocolate Bonbon Frosting ingredients until smooth. If necessary, stir in additional milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until soft enough to spread. 6 Dip tops of cookies into frostings and sprinkle with decors as desired.

I put away $20/week so I have $1040. My kids are all adults and no grandchildren so it’s probably going to be gift cards or experiences this year.

Most likely will cave but I’m trying to hold out for a BF deal on something. That Tablo is tempting at under $100 though!

Day one as a cord-cutter….so far, so good. It’s our 1st time with no DVR in probably 30 years, Will see how long we last.

Antenna on 3 TVs Main Tv: LG smart with a Roku and antenna Kitchen: TCL Roku Smart TV Bedroom: Element-not smart, has antenna It’d be nice if the DVR worked on the main & bed. The kitchen is fine without. I’m thinking of picking up one on eBay just to try it out. There are some Bolt models on there for $60-80

Thanks for the input. Looks like Amazon only carries refurbished TiVo. Even the TiVo site sends me somewhere else to purchase. I don’t have a Fire, just an LG smart Tv w/a Roku to pick up the slack. I’m thinking I need to look more into this new ATSC before moving forward.

Anyone have a recommendation for an OTA DVR? Are DVRs even a thing anymore with streaming? We don’t have unlimited data with our ISP so that’s a concern with cutting the cord. I have an outdoor antenna with a 30 ft tower so signal is great OTA.

I did. My Spot was doing the same thing. I miss my Spot. The Echo Show sound is not as good.

I like Blue Lizard. I’m very fair, easily burn and I can be in the sun for hours with this brand as long as I reapply every 20-30 minutes.
