Well, its a job requirement to have a processor with at least 2.4 ghz. Otherwise I would have gotten the Dell. They actually do random tests on your pc to make sure you meet the min requirements. If not, you can be terminated for not being pc compliant. That's the only reason this is so important. Oh and I actually dont even want an HP BUT it seems like that is all that is being offered that I can afford with all specs I need. I cant even think about the Newegg one because I an using gift cards/ rewards from Best Buy and Walmart that allow me to be able to afford one under $400. I would like a Dell or an Acers but all the right things have to line up for me to get one. So far...it looks like HP. :/

Yeah that 4 gb bothers me also. That is why I am still on the fence. Still looking and hoping I can actually GET some of the other ones I was looking at but if not it may be the 4gb one. Walmart has an option for me but its been OOS since last week. No unfortunately they wont "split" the financing it has to be a $479 or more purchase at the time. And fyi....you also wont get reward points for the purchase from Best Buy if you finance. It has to be either or. Not sure if it matters to you, just a side note.

Mine has suffered the same hinge issue. It is a Toshiba Satellite and cracks everytime I open or close it. I am looking for one also to replace the Toshiba one as well as a good work one. But I cant spend over $400 which really limits my options. Hoping that I will be able to find a good laptop for a great deal.

I have never ONCE even gotten this into my cart.... Oh well.

UGGGGGHHHHHH! I was looking for a laptop for my job that has top be at least 2.4 ghz processing speed. I kept wondering why the ones from BestBuy had not sold out so I JUST decided to check the specs of the ones I was looking at from BestBuy. Low and behold they are ALL under the 2.4 ghz required. Well....I looked at the one from Walmart ( https://www.walmart.com/ip/53853529) and the one from Sams ( http://www.samsclub.com/sams/hp-15-ay117cl-notebk-ci5-7200u/prod20591351.ip?xid=plp15990825-shop:product:1:79 ) that was only available for today and passed over them thinking surely the one at BestBuy will be fine and plus I will get to use my reward zone certs. Now the other two that I could have gotten are both sold out and I cant find any more in my price range of $400 or under that meets the min requirements. Sooooooo if anyone has ANY suggestions I am open to them.

Oh yeah...and another thing I noticed is that it has not been available on Walmart at all yet. I have been up since before midnight and before it was even listed on the site. It showed up about three this morning and showed sold out BUT coming soon. I believe they will try to compete with Amazon and may show available around the same time Amazon releases theirs.

I have not been able to get this online. Bestbuy sold out in less than a min and Target maybe a bit longer. Gamestop let me add the item to my cart and then spun for an hour and a half only to tell me sold out. I found out about Dell too late and now its has been removed from the site. My fingers are crossed for Amazon but I am not holding my breath. Deperate...but not paying auction prices. They are going for $200! Maybe this item should be a GD giveaway Brad and I have NEVER won anything here before....hint hint...wink wink...lol!

I sort of feel like that about some items. But a few thing I "need" have an ok deal. Remember....a lot of times when everybody releases their ads early like this, they start sizing each other up. Then we may even see some "secret" online specials pop up or even pre-bf sales. I agree that nothing really seems WOW this year...yet...but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
