  1. Just looking for ideas for christmas. Sometimes i need a change. For breakfast i am making Blueberry french toast, and christmas breakfast casserole. I was thinking maybe prime rib, twice baked potatoes, and a veggie tray.
  2. My kids never know what there going to get on Christmas morning, sometimes I spend a ton and sometimes I dont. That just teaches them to be thankful for what they get, it all depends on the budget. My kids are starting to ask about santa, there, dd11 and ds8, I told them if they dont believe they get nothing, end of conversation. Here santa brings one or two things and the rest is from mom. When they really quite believing, we will help out in toys for tots, go and collect items, and wash toys to help make others kids happy at Christmas,
  3. i would buy just for the kids, the rest make them cookies, fudge, breads, ect, that way you could still get them all a gift , if your husband still insists, make him help you on this, or if he wants to shop then by all means send him so he can see the bill, and next year he might think twice about it since its really not a fun job shopping for 50 people, and make sure he wraps too. when my husband does stuff like this i make him help and then he sees the real picture and usually changes his mind.
  4. How about a bake sale , ask some of your friends and family for help , use the money to buy the gifts, what a kind person you are.

  9. you can always make pumpkin dump cake, its so simple and i think it tastes better than pie, one large can pumpkin, one can of can milk, 1 and 1/2 cups sugar, pumkin pie spice to taste, and 3 eggs, mix well, pour into 9x 13 cake pan, then take 1 white cake mix dry sprinkle on top of mixture, add nuts if you want, then melt one cup of butter or margirine and spoon on top of cake, bake at 350 , bake til knife comes out clean, this is a huge hit in my house and we add whip cream when we take out of pan
