This is my 5th year

I vow to actually go to bed EARLY like at 8pm instead of like 11pm and get up and be at Best Buy no later then 3am. I also vow to stick to buying sale items ONLY. Every year I end up buying sale items plus regular priced items, but this BF, sale items only. And being this my 1st year shopping in Anchorage, AK, I vow to make it the BEST BF I ever had and taking full advantage of the best shopping day of the year!

Do you think the economy this year will determine how busy BF will be? Being so many people lost their jobs this year I'm predicting that BF this year wont be as crowded as past BF simply because people can barely afford bills not alone Christmas shopping. However, it could flip, and this BF could be extremely crowded for those who CAN shop for BF will def. take full advantage of the sales to save money. What are your thoughts? Do you think it will be more crowded then last year, less crowded, or equal?

Kohls, Best Buy and Gamestop

Well my husband and I are about to move to Anchorage, Alaska on Nov 7th (military move), so this will be our 1st BF shopping in Anchorage! I'm SO excited about this BF I can hardly stand the wait! Getting to deal with freezing temps plus snow on the ground , what a great way to start the holiday season!

Walmart is gonna have their clothes for real cheap. Jeans for $8, hoodies for $4 for kids and cant remember what it is for adults. Old Navy is gonna have all their stuff 50% off plus you get a free mp3 player if you spend $20 or more.

I saw in the BB ad today that theres gonna be a Thanksgiving Day ad. Does anyone have that ad yet or know whats in it?

I can never seem to remember when the BF ads appear in newspapers. Is it the Sunday or Wednesday before BF or is it Thanksgiving Day?

So the ad online last yr, was the sales just for online, or was it an extra ad for the store? Im gonna assume since you said doorbusters, that it was an extra ad for the store and not for online?

Do you think the Best Buy BF ad will change? From what I understand from reading (as I dont remember this actually happening), last yr BB released a BF ad, they changed it, released it again the week of Thanksgiving and threw in some secret last minute sales. So do you think it will happen again this yr or do you think the ad will stay the same? And if the ad does change, what do you wanna see? I, myself, hope it changes. I would love to be able to get everything at best buy instead of having to go to 3 different stores. I wanna see Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar Bundle for the same price as Target ($59) or cheaper. I wanna see blu-ray movies on sale. And same goes for the Wii games. Those Wii games that are in the ad are a joke! Nobody wants them. No one bought them all yr long, no one is gonna buy them now. And wheres the PS3 games in that ad?

Who do you think has the best sale for Blu-Ray for BF (Sears, Best Buy, Circuit City, Target)?

Im lovin this ad! I just wish they had blu-ray movies on sale and not just DVDs, but oh well! We'll just have to go somewhere else for the blu-ray movies. Normally we dont shop at target, but this BF, my husband and I will be going there. It will be our 1st stop instead of Sears like I posted earlier on another thread.

Makes sense..but I much rather go where its cheaper regardless. Besides my sister's husband only needs 1 guitar and not 2. Its just him that plays guitar hero.

OMG I feel your pain! My husband and I are getting my parents a Sony blu-ray player for christmas and I saw the Sears ad on here $180! Bestbuy wants $249!!!! Same price that Dell is gonna have theirs on sale. Dont get me wrong, I love best buy, its mine and my husband's fav. store in the world but Im not gonna pay $249 at best buy when I can go to the mall which is right infront of best buy and get the exact same blu-ray player much cheaper at Sears. Believe me, I am very disapointed in the best buy ad this yr. They have a couple things that I still wanna get on Black friday, but Best buy isnt gonna be our 1st usual stop this black friday, sears will be. Def. not worth waiting in line outside in the cold. I much rather wait inside the mall where its nice and toasty. And if its anything like last yr, Sears was completely dead last yr. Had no problems getting a leather jacket for my husband that was on sale for $50 (regular price was like $150 or something like that). Same thing for Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii. We wanna get that for my sister's husband, sears is gonna have it on sale for $54.99..best buy $80! Good-bye best buy..hello Sears!

When do you start listening to Christmas music? Typically I dont start until Black Friday, but the Christmas bug is hitting me early this year. I started 2 days ago. How about you?

Heres an idea: Ask people why they should be the one to win a BF shirt. And whatever response seems the best would win the shirt. For the creative people: Make a contest to where people would create a picture either on their computer or on a piece of paper and have them scan it, and the picture would be an "ad" for gottadeal.com for BF. Whoever creates the best "ad" would win.

Oh please let it be me! I just found out this morning that my husband has Thanksgiving and black friday off. For awhile there we didnt think he was gonna have it off. He's active duty air force so him having the holidays off is like a 50/50 shot. He wasnt here last holiday season due to deployment overseas, so this year is a big deal for us. If I win that shirt, I will wear it with pride! :)

My biggest pet peeve is when you get into the store and the workers tell you what direction to go once your inside the store. Take my best buy for an example. As soon as you get in there, they have everyone go to the right. You cant go to the left and pass the registers. They force you to go right pass the TV's. And if your all the way at the end of the line, by the time you get in there, its so hard to go right because there already is a long line to the registers and the line is almost out the door. So you have to climb around and over people just to get pass so you can get down the DVD, Video Game and CD aisles.

Our (my husband and I) tradition is I would get the paper that has all the BF Ads and go through them and making up list of things Im gonna buy and things for my wish list. Then on Turkey Day, I spend all day long cooking and talking about BF to my whole family and then we eat. Then we put up the tree after eating and cleaning up the kitchen some. Then we hit the sack and then wake up early around 3am. But this year we wanna be in line at best buy by 1am, so we are just gonna take a nap after putting up the tree and then head on over to BB. We always stop by Wawa 1st (for those who live on the east coast and have a wawa, you know what Im talking about - otherwise - its like a Royal Farms or another gas station with a mini mart) and DH get a cappacino and I get a hot chocolate for a pick-me-up and for something warm to drink. We then always hit BB first, then the mall and then maybe walmart if theres anything I wanna get. After shopping, we head over to IHop for breakfast, and then we head back to the mall and go to a movie. Usually a Christmas type movie if there is one that is playing. If not, something that had started that day or maybe the week prior. After the movie we head home and I hide all the presents. Then the next day (Sat), is when we will decorate the rest of the house and start wrapping the presents.

I just figured it out this morning. My husband and I are starting to save $ starting with today's paycheck and by the time BF gets here we will have $900 saved up! Plus credit cards. I dont wanna touch the credit cards though unless we have to. So how much money will you have this BF?

Both me and my husband will have our Debit Card (no cash), PSP, DS, blanket, chairs, and wearing 3 layers of clothes

Wii and PS3 Games, Blu-Rays and the new iPod nano 8gb for my husband and regular DVD's - for the rest of my family
