  1. Correct, lilac100. Here is a thing from Wikipedia about BF: DMCA- In recent years, some retailers (including Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, and Staples) have claimed that the advertisements they send in advance of Black Friday and the prices included in those advertisement are intellectual property and protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Using the take down provision of the DMCA, these retailers have threatened various internet web sites who post Black Friday prices to the internet in advance of the intended release date by the retailers. This policy apparently derives from a fear that competitors, in addition to customers, will also have access to this information and use it for competitive advantage. The actual validity of the claim that prices are protected intellectual property is uncertain as prices might be considered a 'fact' in which case they would not receive the same level of protection as pure intellectual property. The benefit of threatening internet sites with a DMCA based lawsuit has proved tenuous at best. While some sites have complied with the requests, others have either ignored the threats or simply continued to post the information under the name of a similar sounding fictional retailer.
  2. The King is still alive and I don't mean Elvis either. Can't wait to see that BF add.
  3. 5 AM for non 24-hour walmarts and all Best Buys. 24-hour walmart sales start at 5 AM too, but you can walk inside the store anytime you want and wait to buy your stuff.
  4. Best Buy, Walmart, and Circuit City for a new LCD TV.
  5. Thanks, coolguy. Can you scan a copy of the add and post it on here if you have it?
  6. I'm slowly starting to put stuff up here. It was amazing how many people were at Garden Ridge today buying Christmas decorations. I don't think i've ever seen that many people buying decorations that early.
  7. If Garden Ridge and other stores are selling christmas decor for people to buy, then how is it too early to put it up? I say put it up now.
  8. I was at Garden Ridge today and people were buying tons and tons of christmas decor including me.
  9. I haven't gotten mine yet. Hopefully Monday. :)
  10. Their already playing only christmas music on 98.9 and 102.5 FM here.
  11. I'm gonna wait on the PS3 for a year or two. It's just too expensive right now. -And yes i'm feeling anxiety too. Hurry up Best Buy.
  12. Well, put it up then. Why can Garden Ridge, Walmart, and these other stores have christmas stuff up, but we can't? Is there some special reason that stores can put stuff up earlier than the general public? Everybody should start putting their christmas stuff up this weekend just for the heck of it.
  13. Actually that's already happening. Does the saying "Christmas in July" ring a bell?
  14. ...and don't turn off the power in the store or else chaos will erupt, even though it seems to be chaos once the doors open.
  15. ...and the other retailers are possibly waiting to see what Wal-Mart does before they decide what to do with their prices on BF. This could be a very good BF for me with the low prices and no sales tax for South Carolina. :)
  16. Haha. I call myself g-man because I live in Greenville and i'm a man.
  17. I wonder if a lot of these companies are waiting until they see what wal-mart's BF add looks like before deciding on their final price of these items.
  18. How is halloween not number 2? That's got to be wrong. There is no way father's day possibly beats out halloween in terms of sales.
