I thought TRU usually has this deal about this time of year. I missed it last year but made it the year before. It is a good deal and there are new Star Wars Legos out now. I think Amazon has done this too in the past but I don't remember when. I know as soon as I buy them somewhere all at regular price, this deal will show up. TIA

So I have some new competition at the NW Ohio stores? Welcome. I try not to peruse on the weekends just because there are a TON of people in the store. The last time I was in was a half hour before closing on a week day. It was empty and awesome. Maybe we'll run into each other some time:-)

Found two of those Disney puzzles everyone had been posting about. Rung up 0.00 but I found a clerk that use their gun and said they were 3.74. Yippee! Now the bad news. I saw a whole row of YuGiOh and Pokemon cards in the Easter bubble packs. Still ringing up 9.99. Grabbed four of the YuGiOh and took them to the lone, young clerk (it was 9:30PM and the store closes at 10PM so pretty empty) and told her I believed Easter had gone 75% off so she gave them to me for that. After checking this site because I didn't remember seeing Easter had actually gone 90%, and finding it did, called my mom and told her to run over there and get the rest and tell them they should be 90% off. She got there and the card company rep was boxing them up. My mom said to her shouldn't they be on clearance and the rep said no, they were 9.99. My mom said but my daughter got them last night at 75% off and the rep said "she shouldn't have" so no more cards and the ones I got were at 75%. Too little too late. I guess I was lucky to get the four I did. I've got to start making notes of everything on here to carry with me. It seems sometimes I read about great deals but as soon as I step into the store, I forget what I read. Lesson learned (haha)

Our Yu gi oh and pokemon were ringing up full price yesterday. Gonna check again on Thursday. Had a ton of candy and stuff left yesterday (was at Rossford, OH store around 5PM); don't know what it looks like today.

Ours were oos when they were $119 but got a raincheck, used the 5 off $25 coupon and got mine yesterday for $114. Yu gi oh and pokemon cards were ringing up regular price yesterday when they should have been 50% off. will check again on thursday. Forgot a week or so ago, I got the Singing Elmo Pizza toy for $3.14 at Target. Saw Walmart had a ton of them last Friday for $17. haha

i scanned the clifford/arthur one at my walmart last friday and they were ringing up .09. i didnt know what it was but they had several. today, got four mm. i woulda bought more if they had them. GB gone. no toy/bin things, linens pretty picked over, not much else worth mentioning.

I was in buying greeting cards and walked past some of the clearance shelves (they have clearance in every area of the store...what a mess) and saw a Woodstock (the bird from Peanuts) ornament. It was priced at $15. I scanned it and it came up 1.50. Then I saw one of those men's grooming kits that was originally $9.99. I scanned it and it came up full price. I took it to the cashier and asked if it shouldn't be Christmas clearance since it was wrapped in red and green paper. She thought not because it (meaning the kit) "could be used year round". I said "but it is wrapped in Christmas paper, would you check with a manager?". Luckily, I was at a register right across from the service desk. They said to give it to me at the clearance price. She said "how much should it be discounted?" and I said "well the ornament came up 90% off so I guess 90%". Got it for .99. Yeah for me!

They have a bunch of clearance toys and it looks like they want to do inventory but their discounts are so measly, that crap is just sitting around. Get on with it already!

Ours went 90% off too. I don't ever remember them doing that before. Nothing there when I found out and I stop in almost every day because it is right across from where I work and I'm always having to stop for something or other. Oh well, maybe next year.

Nothing specific. I don't even have a kid young enough for toys. Just like the thrill of getting great deals. Usually give to Toys for Tots and Angel Tree. Just reading on here where some stores aren't at 75% yet and was hoping maybe one of the three I haven't been to yet was lagging too. Oh well. I still will stop by SM on Sunday before meeting family for lunch. Might luck out and find something great. Thanks for the update.

Anyone been to the Spring Meadows, Monroe Street or Alexis Road stores in the Toledo area? Have they/are they at 75% yet? I was at Rossford yesterday afternoon and they were pretty picked over. Just checking. TIA

Rossford, Ohio store was at 75% yesterday. Must have been earlier in the day as I was there at 4:30 and found a lot of empty shelves. Still managed to get a few things. Funny thing is, I have a 15 year old son and don't need to buy toys. This site keeps me psyched and I buy for Toys for Tots and Angel Tree.

Springs Meadows in Toledo still 75% off christmas. toys 30%. looked around for "christmas" products like baggies, kleenex, nuts but found nothing. they have these round xmas picture frames on an end cap, real cute, still ringing up 4.18 which i believe is only 30% off. didn't have time to argue with anyone but these would have made nice gifts for the girls at the office next year. oh well. i'll keep my eye on them. afraid store will go 90% tomorrow and wont be able to get there til saturday afternoon. might still stop tho.

Thanks. Now I don't feel bad about not going all the way there when they didn't have what was advertised. I had read somewhere on here about people getting there at opening and the store not having the advertised merchandise.

Did anyone actually go this morning and did they happen to see if the store actually had the new 2008 legos? My store is so far away and I didn't want to take the chance that they did not have what was in their ad. Even the Lego site cannot ship until after the first of the year so I was wondering if TRU actually had them or not. Oh well.

They are the $29.99 or less games. I went to the store yesterday, two whole games were 29.99 or less, the rest were 39.99 and 49.99.

Wish I had done that. I would have bought the tv. Didn't want to sit outside in 30 degree weather for it tho. Oh well. Maybe next year.

It just seems like most of the people out there are after the door busters to resell them on ebay. People that want legitimate items for gift giving are SOL.

Sounds awful! You think these stores would know by now and better prepared for crowd control They also should limit it to one per person. I didn't go anywhere this year. Just bought a couple of items online and stayed away. Sounds like it gets worse every year instead of more enjoyable.
