DF left again today thanks to the military so I had him decorate the outside yesterday and some things inside that I couldn't do. We are getting a real tree but not til the 12th so our friend will help me with that. I am having a small baby shower at my house Saturday so I plan on decorating and cleaning all this week.

Yep I got the email about that. You had to click on the link to see which stores were participating. Not all of them were, just 12.

Will let you know after Christmas. It is 1 of DS Christmas presents. He should be shocked. He wasn't asking for a TV at all!

I too made it! And alone too!!! All my people bailed on me too! I was lucky enough to drag DF with me to Target at 4:30AM but had a horrible experience there. I posted in the "what deals did you get" thread. People were really nice though. No problems at all. I laughed at people when they wanted by me and said excuse me for me to move, but when I had no where to move and couldn't suck my belly in, they went another way. I got out of Target at 9:30, again see my post on the other thread. I then went to Kohls and by the time I was done there, I was getting really hot and was scared I was going to have a fainting episode, but got out of there on time. I had gotten DS some socks and kept dropping them cause I had no cart or bag. And the lady in front of me was nice enough to keep picking them up for me. It was about 11 when I left Kohls, so I went to Krispy Kreme, had some sugar then went home and took a 2 hour nap. I went to the mall afterwards and was excited to find an expectant mother parking spot right in front. I was there for about 3 hours and left to come home. I kept sitting down after every store in the mall. I was a little sore, my feet and back hurt but that is about it. I feel tired today and so far have been relaxing. Still not done shopping but I won't do hardcore shopping anymore. :)

My experience was good with the exception of Target. DF had to work Friday morning at 8 so I knew that he would be able to come with me to Target. We get there at 4:30AM and the line is already to the garden center, which is where we were last year. We were obviously 1 of the first 500 cause we got the little totes. I had my cart and we were ready to go. There were no line jumpers, nothing. But when I got to the front door to go in, they told me they weren't allowing carts in. I told them that was ridiculous, I was almost 6 months pregnant with twins and I needed to have a cart to hang onto. They told me it didn't matter, no carts. WTH are you supposed to carry a big TV with? So I told DF to just go, get the 32" TV and I would find him later. I went to the electronics section since the security guard there was directing people there that wanted gaming systems and IPODS and such. I needed a PSP so I went over there to find DF with the last TV. So he stayed in line while I shopped some more. Those little bags don't hold much. People were very curtious to me and big tummy so I had no problems there. So we get up to pay, and here is where the problem comes in. DF paid for the TV, and I was paying for my stuff seperatly. Electronics only had 1 working cash register so we were in line for almost 2 hours at this point. It is 6:30 and DF has to leave at 7 to get to work by 8. I told him to not worry about it, we would be fine on time. Well little did I know that is when my problem started. I have a Target card that has only $200 on it. I pay it off each year just to use on BF. I also had a 10% off coupon to use, a $2.50 MFR coupon and a $3 and $5 Target coupon on different items I was purchasing. I also had a coupon for a $15 GC when you spent $150 and also had $20 in GC from the Glade deals. So she rings me up, after all my coupons and GC's my total is $365. The 10% coupon wouldn't scan and she was basically giving up, but I told her to try something else cause I wanted to use it. I get the $10 GC for spending $100 and the $15 GC for spending $150 but the 10% coupon still wouldn't go through. After a few minutes, it goes through and I tell them I want to put $200 on my Target card, swipe it, then pay the balance with my debit/credit card. Ok, all is fine, it has me sign and says transaction complete. Then she tells me the transaction was declined cause to use the 10% coupon I can only use my Target card, nothing else. So I tell her to take the coupon off cause now it is getting closer to 7. She takes the coupon off but now my Target card is declined. So I have to go to CS to find out what the deal is. They try to suspend the transaction and redo it and same thing, card declined. So we call Target credit services in India and the man was very uncooperative. He tells me that the CS person needs to call an authorization extension to get them to release the funds. The CS person didn't know the extension and the man on the phone wouldn't give it to her so we hang up. By this time it is 6:55 and I have to get DF home to get his truck so he can go to work. They hold my stuff, tell me they are going to work on the problem and for me to come back after I get him home. So I drop him off at home, go back to Target. They tried to sign in as a supervisor to suspend the transaction, nothing. And everytime she tried to suspend the transaction, the register would freeze. She tried 3 different registers. The manager couldn't even help out. He tried everything. It was like I had paid for the items, but not really. So I mention maybe calling the Credit people again to see if we can get someone else to give us the extension. We call, get the extension, CS calls authorization, they release the funds and I get my items. However, we noticed the lady in Electronics didn't give me the credit for my $20 in GC cause my total should have been $345. And I didn't get my 10% coupon back to use at a later time. So when CS was getting the manager to see if she could give me the $20 back in GC along with the other $10 and $15 GC I noticed I had purchased the Proposal and it came up at $24.99 not the $8.99 price in the ad. The guy at the other register refunded my money and gave me the $8.99 price. By that time the girl came back and gave me $45 in GC. After all this it was 9:30AM!!!!!! I was at Target for 5 HOURS!!!!!!! That just made my day so exhausting! I went to Kohls after which was a ridiculous line like always, got out around 11. Went to Krispy Kreme, ate, went home and napped for 2 hours then went to the mall. I am wondering if I should email Target and complain about the cart situation and the electronics lady screwing things up???

So it looks like I will have to make this adventure this year on my own. My DF has duty Friday, which for those that don't know what that means, he has to be at work at 8AM Friday morning and won't get off til 8AM Saturday morning. He can't leave the sub, nothing. So I am very thankful that I get to have him spend Thanksgiving with us but sad that he can't go shopping, which isn't a big deal. I already told him that I am dragging him with me to Target at 3AM, lol then I will hit Kohls alone, then come home and rest for a couple hours before hitting the mall. Hopefully the rest in between will revive me for another round! LOL

That happened to us with the Pink Dyson from last year. After I realized it a couple days later, we had to go to CS and basically argue with them that we didn't get it. They checked the register and called to see if the "GC" we got still had the $100 on it and told us if there was no money on the GC we would be out of luck. The $100 was still on the "GC" that we didn't get so they reissued us another one. Check before you leave that you get your GC!!!!

I was at a store this weekend and someone left their cart in the middle of the aisle. I went to move it since I can't exactly squeeze or suck my stomach in anymore and they gave me the death look. I am like HELLO do you see baby belly?? LOL

I guess I am just going to have to pay full price for this PSP. I can't believe no one has it on sale. The only thing that caught my eye in this ad was the Glider and Ottoman at BRU. I have been wanting one and they are so expensive, might see if the DF will get me that for Christmas.

I know I already posted in here, but I found out that my DF will be back next week only to leave again the Monday after Thanksgiving. He won't be back this time til Christmas. I told him the only thing I want him to do is hang the Christmas lights when he is here. I can't do it and can get our friend to help me get a tree, so he said ok. :) I told him I wouldn't turn them on til December 1 though.

I went to my Target last night and they said that for them, I guess this is a YMMV, I would have to buy something 7 days or less to get the sale price for the BF ad. So I would have to go the Friday before or after that to get the TV then go back to CS on BF with the ad and receipt and they would give me the adjustment.

If we get the TV before hand, probably 7 or 8 after the rush is gone. If we don't get the TV before then probably 4 or so on BF morning.

What are your BF traditions? Do you camp out for days at 1 store waiting for a deal? Do you show up a couple hours before the stores open? Do you run, run, run all day? Do you stop for breakfast or Starbucks? Last year, I took DF with me. We got to Target around 5:30 and stood in line. He stayed in the camping section, since there was no one in it and I ran to the video games and toy aisles to get what I needed. I then had him stand in the line around the store and continued to shop while he was in line. We got out of there around 7:30 or so then headed to Kohls. We got out of there around noon, thanks to the line and headed to IHOP. That was the best cause I was starving and tired already. We then drove 20 minutes to the mall and was there til 6 or so at night! Needless to say, we came home and slept!! LOL Hopefully I will have some help this year, whether its DF or his BFF or whoever, but I plan on getting to Target around 4, then eating breaksfast before I hit Kohls. Being pregnant, I can't wait that long to eat and the lines at Kohls might kill me! LOL So what are your BF traditions?

They didn't have any out on the floor yesterday when I went, but looking online it says they are available. So I am assuming they have them in the back. DF wants to buy a TV for my DS so I want to tell him about this one. Problem is, he is gone for the Navy right now and supposed to be home before Thanksgiving, hopefully he will be here in time to get one before. If not, we have to face the mob on BF!

So say we purchase the TV the week of BF or before the 14 days. All I have to do on BF is take the ad and my receipt and they will refund the difference?

For those looking at the 32" TV, I was just at Target tonight and the regular price is $469. I didn't see any boxes though and there was no one around to ask if they had any in the back. I plan on going back in a couple days, then I will see if they have any now.

Oh ok. Yeah, don't get me started on that one. LOL

Probably because it is nothing of what we need or want. I am specifically looking for a PSP, the old one. I am not impressed with the ads cause no one has it on sale. I really thought they would too considering the new PSP just came out a month ago. As for the TV's, yes we are looking for a TV for DS, that might be one we get, maybe. As for the Dyson, got one last year at Target, don't need another and we also don't need any of the other things that were mentioned. That is why I am not impressed with the ad.
