I take my cell phone to stay in contact with my daughter who is in one line getting stuff and a credit card, id and keys. leave the rest in the car. The lighter the better. I like the green bag idea. Carts are too big unless I need it to get big items, but they are hard to get around the store with all the people. Be nice.

I have found the Wii's on Wednesday at my WM. Find out what day they usually come in. Just ask if you really want one. Wednesday is the day for Wii in Gloucester, VA. good luck

Our well water was so bad it tested the hardest on the charts. We got a water softener from Lowe's and it has made a big difference. Think of your hair, body and cooking with the hard water. And don't forget your pets, they are drinking it too. Yes they are expensive, but worth it. Our water was turning everything orange. That was the iron in it. It looked like swamp water after it settled in a container. Get a water softener.

My stack unit doesn't act any differnt than the regular set I had. Just make sure when you buy they set that it is a regular size set. Some of them are smaller. Mine is regular size and it's great.

I bought a Vtech a few months ago. It came with three handsets with answering machine. Works great so far. I think I got it at Best Buy but I also saw it at either Home Depot or Lowe's. Got it on sale for $59.00

I bought mine last year at Target after Christmas. They probably have some at your Target. Good luck.

If you are in a college you can buy it at your book store. Or ask someone that teaches IT classes. That's what I did with my new laptop that came with Vista and nothing else. I have a brother in law that hooked me up with Office.

I go to the local WM and they are the best. If you live near a smaller WM I would suggest going there. Friendlier people, nicer workers too. This year I was in the GPS line I was around the 10th one in line and I asked one of the people behind me to hold my spot and I went and got several people the fliers and the maps for the deals. When I came back one of the line holders told me that there were two boys up near the front of the line. Basically they were starting another line. When the manager came up there to price check the Kitchenaide for me (they didn't know it was on sale) Got the sale price right and then I mentioned to him about the other line forming. Oh forgot to tell you that the line holders told me they informed an associate about the other line forming and she told them that it was okay and it would be a free for all. Well that didn't sit well with us. I talked with the manager about all of this and he called two associates right then and within a couple of minutes there was a cop up there too. The cop stood there with his arms folded across his chest. Too funny. The boys left and the line holders were giving me high fives for standing up to them. Hey, that's what it's all about. After I got home around 7am and told my husband about the GPS he mentioned that he would like one. So back up to WM i went. They still had over 30 left. So I checked out the near empty store and when I was back in electronics I saw a guy looking at the case where the GPS used to be. I asked him if he was looking for the ones on sale and told him they were up front near the registers. He took off. I love my WM. Sorry for the long post, but had to share.

What is Price match? *new young black friday shopper* Price match is when you take the ad to another store from a different store. Some will price match exact items. Walmart does so that's why a lot of us take other ads to WM on Black Friday. You don't have to run all over town to get the good deals as long as the store you go to first will price match. They do run some decent stuff, but if you are like me Walmart is closer and the will price match.

My kids are grown, but I still tell them "If you believe, you will receive." So I figure they will believe until I die.

Fake for me too. I can put it up and take it down whenever. I usually go to the woods and cut down some geenery to decorate. I get some smelly stuff to. I love the smell of real trees, but hate the mess.

If you work, mention the situation to a few of your co-workers. I bet they would love to pitch in and help you. Maybe the Salvation Army could also help. Not sure where they get their lists from, but you could call. Also check with United Way and ask them who you can contact to help them out. I also know that when my husband worked for the Post Office, they looked for families to help out. They do a big food drive either in Nov. or Dec. Another thought is to ask a church to adopt them. Church people love to help out and everyone loves to give at this time of year. (please don't be offended anyone, I mean that statement in the best way.) Nothing is better than helping someone else. Wal-mart only puts out an ad every month. Look for them the first of the month.

I bought a laptop from WM on Black Friday. It was around 398.00. My daughter also bought one for her husband. The line wasn't too bad either. I ended up not needing/wanting the one I bought so I sold it to a friend. I need one this year, so I'm holding out until BF. Also want a video camera. Just waiting for the ads. Don't forget that most of the stores you can go online and buy the stuff without waiting in line.

If you know any of the employess well enough you could ask one of them to buy it for you. They get 20% off I think.
