  1. I just saw the same thing and thought "What a great deal!" Then I saw what Shipping and Handling cost................well over $30.00.
  2. Thanks for the heads up on this, I got 1 quarter ham 1 smoked turkey breast 1 green bean casserole 1 broccoli rice casserole 1 coconut cake $36.00
  3. Just got back form my Target and there were about 25 or so packages of the light bulbs. EVERY SINGLE ONE had been tampered with and oddly enough they all had been slit open in the exact same spot. Needless to say, no gift cards not even any of the coupons.
  4. Ya know my brother and I compete for "The Most Obnoxious Gift for a Kid" Award each year. You know, the kind of gifts you would never buy your own children because of the mess, noise, amount of time to put together, etc. We each buy a gift for one of our kids and see who wins. This just may fit the bill for this year. he-he-he Just for the record: We buy real gifts for all of the kids too. Just wanted to clarify before I get flamed. :)
  5. On another thread some said they didn't like the one from Wal-Mart last year. We got one for my daughter and she uses it almost daily and we haven't had a problem with it. If you do get this one, I highly recommend the kilt they have to go with it also.
  6. Name? Stephanie Location? Spring Hill, FL People going with you? Husband, Rob How long have you been shopping on BF? This will be year number 4 What is the one AD that you really want to see? Wal-Mart What was that one item you sooo wanted to get, but couldn't get it on BF? Believe it or not, I have always managed to get what I going after. Cheapest thing you ever bought on BF? One year I got 2 liters of Pepsi for 10 cents. (Meijer in Michigan - boy do i missthat store....) Did you ever get anything for free on BF? Nope..........
  7. Well, I actually will start decorating tomorrow. My kids got home from school this afternoon and asked me why I hadn't started decorating yet. Almost hate to ask, and I know this is OT but, Which team are you cheering for? please say maize and blue, please say maize and blue, please say maize and blue..........
  8. I am so glad I found a group of people that are as crazy about Holiday shopping as I am. I was in my local Wal-Mart today and I was so happy to see Holloween being clearanced out to make room for all the Christmas stuff. I was equally as excited to see the return of all things Christmas making their way out to the aisles. Heres what I saw: 1. The garden dept is becoming Holiday decoration central. 2. The seasonal aisles were being stripped of Halloween to be replaced with Christmas stuff. 3. The center aisle in the grocery dept was being stocked with all of those things we need to make all of our Holiday goodies. Yeah! Only 23 more days!!!
  9. I have gone to our local Wal-Mart Supercenter (they are open 24 hours) the last three years in a row. It works like this (at least here in Spring Hill, FL): When you come in they give you a map of the store showing where each of the "blitz" items are (they aren't always in the department they would normaly be in ie: last year they had the DVD's on a pallet in the grocery section). You then join the group of "vultures" hovering around the item you are interested in. A Wal-Mart employee is standing guard. Now here's where the fun starts At 6am the poor unsuspecting Wal-Mart employee gets a radio call that it is 6am and the free-for-all begins! The Wal-Mart employee attempts to cut the shrink wrap off of the pallet only to be pushed aside and trampled upon. I actually saw an employee get hurt 2 years ago over a crock pot. Kind of sad when you think about it. Especially when all of this occurs all in the name of Holiday Cheer.
  10. Hi! My name is Stephanie. I am originally from Michigan so I never BF shopped (too cold) until 4 years ago when I moved to sunny Florida! It has now become a new favorite tradition for me and my husband. We make a great BF "blitz" team. I just discovered this site a couple of weeks ago and I LOVE it!! A BIG thanks to all of you!!
  11. I was wondering the same thing. Some of the K-Marts in my area (Tampa Bay) have turned into Sears Essentials. I thought it was odd when the BF ad was posted and there were Kenmore and Craftsman items on it.
  12. Just found this today! What a great site!!
