I'm gonna be the one that disagrees. We do a gift exchange at work with a specific dollar amount & the person I get always makes out because I find such bargains & go by what I actually spent!! But really, I agree with what your hubby said, with family it's not about the gifts!

I would def. save it for his birthday. I've told my son since he's been old enough to understand that what he sees goes back. I put all our stuff in a corner in my bedroom & throw a blanket over them. He doesn't even try to peek because he knows I mean it. Plus, in a way he's like me, I never snoop either until they're wrapped, because I don't want to spoil the suprise for myself!! :)

It's not considered "throwing away the day" if it's an experience you are enjoying! Some of us actually like being a part of the crowds & crazy atmosphere that comes along with Black Friday. Personally, even while waiting in lines FOREVER & dealing with all the rest, I enjoyed sharing the experience with one of my best friends. For us, the day was a memory-maker!

Believe it or not, I missed the free Polaroid camera from Circuit City!!!! Do you think I have a shot at getting it with my receipt, or were there limited supplies???

I'm sorry if this was posted already, but I searched to no avail....... anyway, can anyone tell me if amazon.com & deepdiscountdvd.com have Black Friday sales? That would be GREAT, because so far in all the ads, I've only found a few things from my son's Christmas dvd/videogames list. TIA

When I finished cleaning for Thanksgiving, I decided it was time to put up some holiday cheer. I got out all my little decorations & fiber-optic stuff. It looks really nice!!! Now instead of anticipating BF, I'm anticipating Christmas!!!

We're supposed to get snow/snow-showers ALL WEEK!! & the high is only going to be in the 20's here......I don't drive in the snow..............WAH!!!!! Guess maybe I should start planning to do my BF shopping online........ darn, darn, darn!

I usually make a ton of baked goods & give most away for Christmas to family & neighbors. I always freeze them right after their made & take them out early on Christmas eve. I put plastic wrap between the layers & put them in tupperware containers or zip-lock bags to freeze. Just don't let them thaw on top of eachother without something in-between the layers! Good Luck!

It's really up to you & her. I do have snowman flannel sheets for my son's room that I use all winter long. (got them on sale at JC Penney's a year or so ago!)

store bought here, personal note in each. Last year started using red & green glitter-gel pens to put more of a Christmas touch in them!!
