No but I do let my kids open one small present on christmas eve though. My DH is the one that cannot stand waiting. A few years back he bought me a laptop and for two weeks prior he kept asking me if I wanted it now instead. I kept saying no I woud rather wait until Christmas to get my present. Around the 17th he came into the room and begged me to please open it now because he couldnt stand waiting anymore lol. He knew how much i really wanted a laptop but would never ask for one. I caved because I couldnt stand listening to him anymore. I was extremely happy when I opened it, but told him that from now on he is going to have to do his shopping for me like two days before christmas.

Just got back from my TRU. I went and picked up some of the video games that were on sale. At my store, only the games pictured were on sale. The price for Madden 08 is the best I have seen anywhere. I got one for the PS2 and PSP for 14.99 each. At my store they did not have the Madden 08 PSP games on the shelf, they were behind the counter, but the PS2 ones were out on the shelf. Not sure if every store has it this way, but I figured I would give a heads up just in case. I didnt notice at first and initially thought maybe they didnt have any in stock, but decided to check with the SA.

I am definately ready. I started early and went to TRU last night. I had previously bought 2 nintendo DS's when they had the 20 gift card promo, so I ended up getting a 34.00 matchbox toy and three video games for 38.00 after I used the two gift cards, plus the MCDs bucks, and a five dollar off coupon, then I got the 10.00 gift card back for spending 75 dollars. This totally put me in the mood for BF, and now I can't wait for it to get here. Only a few more weeks....and in the meantime I am waiting no so patiently for the rest of the ad scans to come out. The anticipation is killing me;)

I just got mine in the mail today as well, so for those who havent received theirs yet...dont give up hope. I know some people reported getting theirs early last week, so maybe it just depends upon where you are located or something.

Our kids get gift from both, we pretty much just randomly pick some out from us and then the rest are from santa. All of the gifts get wrapped....Santa's in one pattern of paper and ours in another pattern. I love wrapping everything so the kids cant see anything at all when they come downstairs in the morning.

I usually stay out a good portion of that day. This year my mother is coming with me and we are planning on going to lunch and then hitting a few more stores after that. Then that night DH and I are probably going to go out for a while. He always takes this day off as a personal day and stays home with the kiddies while I go out shopping. That night I am hoping to take him to dinner. Then once all the kids are settled down that night, we will unpack all the goodies that I bought and if I have any energy left, we may spend a little time wrapping presents. By this time it will most likely be 10pm or later and after that I will be ready to crash.

The Target in my area is so much better than walmart. The shopping experiences between the two are like night and day. I actually feel relaxed when shopping at target....walmart on the other hand is stressful and unorganized, not to mention the fact that their employees act as if you are putting them out if you actually ask for help with something. The only time I shop at walmart is if I absolutely have to because Target does not have what I need.

I am a wrapper also. Only do gift bags if it is last minute and I run out of paper or it is something totally difficult to wrap. When it comes to the kids gifts, I wrap in a combination of paper geared to their personal likes and festive paper. Usually I wrap santas in one type and the stuff from myself and dh in the other. I know some people dont wrap the gifts from santa (my friends family did this) but my mom always wrapped everything and I loved it. I would hate the idea of being able to see presents beforehand. Since we have five kids and that makes for a big pile of presents, DH and I usually start wrapping about a week beforehand when the kids are in school. Its kinda funny, because we always look forward to that time because we get to talk and spend time together. Its kind of like a date. I will admit by the end my wrapping technique goes a little bad, but after wrapping all those presents my arms get tired. We try to get everything done before christmas eve so there is no pressure, and beside the last time we waited until the last minute, DH and I were up until after 3am Christmas morning wrapping and of course the kids were up before dawn jumping on our bed:eyepoppin We spent most of the day in a total daze after that. After that we told ourselves we would never let that happen again.

Somehow I am not suprised. It didnt make a whole lot of sense that I couldnt get two cards for two systems but I was in no mood to debate and just sent DH in for me. There was not a huge selection of 20 dollar games in my store either, but I did manage to find the ones that I wanted, plus I had a 10 dollar off card that I was able to use on the video games so I actually ended up paying 15.00 for both games and got the third free, so I was happy in the end. TRU should make efforts to get their policies straight or educate their SA's a bit better though. Also to the previous poster, you get the gift cards immediately upon purchase.

I purchased a DS today at my local TRU. In my store the sign stated that you receive a $20 gift card for a future purchase. When I inquired further they said the same. I bought 3 games also so overall it wasnt a bad deal. Also FYI before I made my purchases I asked if you bought two systems if you would get two cards and they said no. I needed two for my twins, so I bought one then and sent DH in a little while later and he bought the other, so I got two gift cards from two separate purchases. Plan on using those toward a PSP for my son. By the time my DH went in to purchase the second pink DS there was only one left. The cashier said they had sold all the pink ones very fast.

I have been wondering the same thing. I think it must be soon because I remember last year they also had the coupon to get a 10 dollar gift card if you spend a certain amount. I thought that they all came out around the same time.
