I always figured if it looked like something the dog coughed up when it arrived, I'd send it back asap. LOL did a spit-take on that one lol So, they are packaged new? The only person to know it is refurbished would be me?

I have never purchased anything refurbished. To be honest, I would feel guilty giving my son a refurbished Ipod. Please don't attack me for feeling this way lol Someone convince me that this is a good deal lol. The price is great, just can't grasp the whole refurbished thing.

All indoor decorations went up today except for the tree (real ). We will put all the outside lights and decorations out next weekend but won't turn them on until Thanksgiving. We will go pick out our tree on bf and decorate it that night. I can't wait!

I'm in the minority here. I am all about getting a child what they "really" want for Christmas. With that said, if she will have the money for one, I would let her buy the one she wants after Christmas. She may find an even better deal on one. I know she said she is fine with the one her cousin has, but I bet she would be even more thrilled with a bigger/better one. If you do this, then you can get her all the other fun stuff, which means she has more to open on Christmas. Weird I think this way, since I am always "get what they really want" kind of person. Give her cash and a little note, telling her it is for her to get the Ipod she really wants,, then help her find the best bargain. jmho

I grew up with a fake tree and had no idea what I was missing. Since I have been married (21 years) we have always put up a real tree. A big fat one lol. I love the smell of the tree and the adventure of finding the perfect tree. Hopefully it will remain a family tradition with my three children as they grow up and have families of their own. I haven't really had a problem with the mess ( knock on wood). We go to the tree farm the day after Thanksgiving, walk around for hours lol and find "our" tree. It goes up that night and we take it down around the 6th of January.
