The first time i took my son, when he was about 15, he was pretty useless. He was not prepared for the chaos that took place. The next year he was ready and jumped right in. Black Friday is an experience and may be too intense for young children and even some adults!

Generally, I say leave the kids at home if at all possible until they are ready to "handle the situation" both mentally and physically. My daughter still tells stories of how I had her diving for those Wal-Mart pajamas! I think she's scarred for life. LOL

I agree with everyone here. The return windows are longer now, so I would by now and if it goes on sale - great, take back the higher priced one. If not, you got the item you wanted at a good price. It's hard not to second guess yourself during this time of the year.

Used to shop at office max and circuit city too! Now I'm a staples girl. Hard to find an office depot that's close. I don't shop much at best buy either since circuit city closed. I guess there is more competition for their type of products nowadays.

The indoor remotes seem pretty cool. I don't even know if we have a true value anywhere around here.

Mine was always Wal-Mart! So many memories of waiting in line (before they had 24 hour Wal-Marts), watching the craziness that would go on in the line at 3 in the morning. Even recently, the craziness that goes on inside the store when they start ripping off the plastic wrap! And being able to price match which saved a few trips to other stores. We'll have to see this year. Wal-Mart is making a lot of changes. I might not even go there this year.

Target sounds good to me. I have cart wheel and the red card. I also have over $300 in gift cards.Thanks everyone for the kind words. I will do some tests webcasts and then have the full layout sometime in Oct.
With BF not being what it use to be I dont want to do pointless webcasts. I want to make them fun but also useful.
I will be doing a focus on Target this year since I drank the kool aide and been shopping there and saving with cartwheel and the red card.
Let me know more of your ideas. I am working on some neat give aways.

I don't celebrate the holidays, so it really doesn't matter either way to me, but i miss getting up at o dark 30, having breakfast and then taking some hot chocolate and waiting in line until walmart opened. Those were the good old days.
